It isn't "hard to believe" that he may have bought one, but it would make more sense that he has some smart people around him that may have talked him into leasing one, or that he may have worked out a "deal" to use one at a deeply discounted rate as sort of like an endorsement.

You may be able to get a Huracan as low as 200K, I haven't really looked at those too much. I'm never going to be in the market for one, obviously! But at least local, the lowest priced new Huracan I saw really quickly was about $298K. That's a lot of money to throw into something illiquid and depreciating, so again I think that he may have some smart people around him to advise against that. Maybe not, though.

He'd have to take at least a little over $600K of his earnings to buy that depreciating asset, based on tax rates. I'd guess that a guy who racks up win bonuses like him has some bright financial minds that are helping him put those bonuses into investments more than into money pits. Again, could be wrong...….

Its not like you are throwing the money away. Buy a slightly used Huracan for a good price, keep it 1 year then sell it and you get your money back, worst case scenario, you will loose a bit of money on it, but not much.

I cant believe you guys are even talking about this lol.

Expect new price to be around ~€330k in the Netherlands. Options on Lamborghini's are pretty expensive, easy to add €30-50k Wink . Very nice car.

Both the Huracan and R8 are based on the same chassis and have the same 610 HP 5.2 V10. The R8 is a little cheaper and more ridable everyday compared to the Lambo. Have not driven the Huracan, but have a lot of experience on the previous R8 (dad owns one) and Gallardo .

If he is smart (which i expect he is) he bought one slightly used. The gas guzzling taxes in The Netherlands are insane, prob €50-60k on this car. An new Mustang 5.0 GT over here costs around €120.000, caused by our gas guzzling (CO²) tax…. Since American cars aren’t really optimized for our way of testing.

Cool to see him spends some hard earned money!.
