I really like Travis Pastrana and everything he has done in the sport. Let's not act like racing MXdN is the only avenue he has to get people together to raise money for a cause.

This has nothing to do with political opinions. This is about maintaining the respect and professionalism of a historic event in our sport.

There is a time and place for everything. The MXoN just isn't the place for Ronnie Mac's behavior.

So now that we've eliminated Ronnie Mac and saved the sport, when are we going to start enforcing a dress code? And, maybe we should prevent our fans from giving foreign riders the middle finger, or screaming racial insults at riders parents. Let's clean this sport up and make it a gentlemen's sport like it was meant to be. A place where little Johnny or Mary will never have to be exposed to anything outside their comfort zone.

I don't think you (or Jason) truly understands why professional racing exists. Pro racing is just a giant marketing machine. Professional racing does not exist to determine a winner, it exists to sell motorcycles/cars/boats/etc.

Having a one time team of TP, K-Dub, and Sipes is a great way to create a LOT of free marketing via social media, and that is the type of marketing that also sells bikes.

Ya know, our industry is in the fucking shitter because the powers that be took all the fun out. Bikes are too expensive, and simply too fast for the average Joe Blow. Sure, keep on taking the fun away, motocross already has one foot in the grave..............................

You've totally missed the point to what I'm saying. I am all about the marketing or whatever it takes to make moto grow and be better. But this event is not the place for it. Read what I said carefully before you go on talking about the whole sport of motocross and where it's going.

The Ronnie Mac thing was a joke, period. Having KW totally changes my view of their effort. I'll be pulling for them.

As for sports being a marketing machine, I completely disagree. While it may becoming that, men did not start racing motorcycles on dirt for the purpose of marketing. Men, many anyway, love true competition. Winners and losers. As soon as the sport becomes an event for the purposes of marketing and in any way take away from true competition, you've signed its death warrant.

Exactly...this one change to the program makes it a team that is just down right bad ass. Travis and K-dub along with the grit of Sipes will be fun to watch. I wonder what bike Windham will be on.

No, I don't think that's what he's saying. Its not just Ronnie Mac that the industry is pissed about. Its about the involvement of Nitro Circus. So to keep the peace, he is no longer inviting along the nitro film crew to make a video about the experience.
