No more green boogers for me. Done with them. The 15 was the worst bike I've ever owned. Reminds me of the 97 Ct 250

30 years of Japanese motocross bikes and I've never once had to contact the dealer or factory for a defect. Obviously not everyone can say the same, but I'll continue to live on the edge and take that chance.

I've read alot of shit about the frames on Canyon MTB-bikes as well, but considering the huge ammount of bikes they move the percent is still really really low....

Laughing Laughing Laughing That's funny, if you put in a search on bike forums you'll find a lot more issues with the orange bikes... I can honestly say in 4 decades of riding I've never had a major failure on any of the Japanese brands.

I can't fathom how you'd come to this conclusion. My local shop is a KTM only dealer and has been for quite a while. Same place I've been getting my stuff from (other than bikes) for a long time. I can say with 100% certainty that you are absolutely wrong and if you've seen the stuff I have, you'd agree. Keep on believeing, though. As long as you're happy.

Chain too tight would cause that sort of crack to show up at the countershaft. That bushed hole should me tight between the frame spars and the rest of the engine secured to the frame rails in the bottom. Maybe loose motor mounts and/or headstays but it would likely take them all. Could quite possibly have been the bushings were too tight an interference.

Eddie's right, KTM builds better quality. I've been inside all of them and none of them, including Honda, do as good a job with fit and finish as the KTM guys do. This hasn't always been the case, but it has been for almost 10 years now.

I swear people search the internet looking for KTM failures just so they can post the pic on a forum and claim what crap they are. The quality is seen in the results of all forms of off road racing around the World. They are the most dominating manufacturer right now, just accept it.

Exactly....I've had 5 or 6 ktm's and not a single problem from the factory, but I have had issues with Yamaha, Honda, and Suzuki !! They all brake

Do the replacement parts for KTM and husky cost a lot more than the other bikes? Or less?

In the lawn mower world they will charge less to get you in a mower and then kill you on parts.

My 04 kx125 15 hrs from brand new the one transmission bearing exploded wasting the left center case half and a couple tranny gears. Zero support from kawie the dealer would only offer 15% discount on parts. Was told sorry race bike no parts warranty.

In the lawn mower world they will charge less to get you in a mower and then kill you on parts.
It's mixed, some things are higher and some are cheaper. The high wear items seem to be a little cheaper (chain sliders, stock plastic, seats) but piston kits are higher.

So it seems to balance out. 1 of the guys I ride with just got the new KTM 250, it’s the best KTM I have ever ridden. The motor is way better than the Honda 250

I had a new '12 KTM 350. Nice bike, no problems. Traded it for a brand new '15 KX450. Backfired once when I started it and locked up. Broke a piece off inside the case. Brought it to the dealer ... Kawi replaced the cases, but dealer had to do the work. Cost of cases to me or labor at the dealer was a wash...so would've cost me the same either way...but Kawi stood behind the case. Traded that bike for a '16 KTM 350 and haven't had a single issue. Pretty sure all brands have problems. Stuff happens.

Strange! I’ve got a 2019 Kawi 450 and I haven’t had a single issue.
