Read the thread. It's not illegal to sell here. Its still in the appeals court to determine if its a drug or not. But the biggest seller, and biggest manufacturer and labeler was raided and all the product confiscated.

I have 2 old neighbors who are now uber rich from selling DMAA in various blends, and of course alot of other questionable shit, but the whole business is built on selling cutting edge, damn near Scheduled compounds.

In fact some are now only being sold out of Thailand because they ARE illegal to sell in the USA. The other is selling out of Panama..

I'm not talking about what he took, I'm just saying in general. He could sell meth and get less time. It's sad. I don't condone cheating and or using drugs of any kind. These guys are trying to find an advantage. Hell, they can jump on a red cross flag and not get the win taken away, cut the track and barely get a slap on the wrist but fail one drug test and you're done for 4yr. Look what they did to James. They stole the latter part of his career and he was prescribed. Give me a break. Get rid of wada. It's ridiculous. The man made a mistake.

I honestly believe Broc Tickle is innocent here. He has arguably the best job on the planet, he's won a championship before (in the 250 class but a title nonetheless), has a beautiful wife, rides for the best team on the planet, and he's making a great living doing what he loves. Would he really risk all of it over something stupid like a performance enhancing drug? I doubt it. I don't see these riders risking it in this day and age of professional sports, with WADA and the drug testing, nobody is risking it. Before WADA existed, absolutely I'd put money down some of the top riders were doping to an extent. As for Broc Tickle in 2018, where he's at in his career and what he has to gain, I just don't see him doing that.

Broc Tickle is one of the good guys of the sport. Always honest, has a calm demeanor and one of the true professionals of the sport. This failed drug test comes out without a final verdict and everyone is so quick to hate the guy. It's amazing how easily pursuad you guys are when it comes to these things, probably why I never got along with you guys on here, one person changes their mind over something and 5,000 people do, too. I'm not saying he's innocent because his wife is hot, and please don't use Lance Armstrong as an example of getting caught because it took them going all the way down to 16th or something in the Tour de France to find the first person NOT cheating. In motocross, in 2018, I truly believe that with the involvement of WADA that nobody is doping these days and everyone is racing fair and square. You are comparing other sports to racing when it's comparing bowling balls to apples. In my opinion, there is absolutely no way Broc Tickle knowingly took a substance he knew was illegal and "risked it" for a better ride. Want to know what Broc did to try and earn a better ride for next year? He joined Aldon Baker's program for this season. Broc is one of the most fit riders on the circuit and always takes training seriously, you seriously think he would risk his career over some tiny little nasal spray to make his breathing a little better? No chance. I'm not saying he didn't test dirty, clearly he did, but unlike you guys I don't wish the worst upon everyone else in my life and hope this was all a big misunderstanding and the ban is lifted. Unfortunately WADA deals with a lot of sports and will not care if Broc Tickle is "one of the good guys" because on paper he tested hot and that's all they care about. Tough pill to swallow for the sport, we need more guys like Tickle out there.

Tickle probably a good guy but failed the test Lotta nice guys make mistakes. Now he will pay for it. Riders should learn from other mistakes guess tickle never read about the stewart, clason wada stuff. My job has rules, guidelines. Guess what , if i want to work there , i follow them. If not i get fired. I like getting a paycheck. Pretty simple system.

The involvement of WADA in other sports sure hasn't made them all clean so I don't see why you'd think moto is so special. Considering how physically demanding the sport is, the amount of injuries, and the tough schedule which leaves little time for recovery, shouldn't it be more likely there is PEDs in moto than other sports? The fact you think it was a nasal spray says a lot.

These guys know the rules. They don't get tested often so that shows that he was using DMAA pretty consistently. You do not just "unknowingly" us that stuff, it is quite powerful. Do I believe it should be banned from use or illegal? No I do not. But that doesnt change the fact he tested dirty for something outlawed. I also think that the penalties are way over the top. Especially for something like what he tested positive for.

wada and all such inventions of the police state, is a another tentacle of the great leviathan.

the state wants to dig through your excrement, or extract your blood, to illegally search your past.

they do it for your own good, and the grand good of society.

corporation, the blessed entity of our evolved and precious world.

f'ing the individual without a moment of concern....

Pretty eff’d up that the penalty is worse for this than comitting a real crime. Sad state of the world that we feel we have to take shit to be able to compete and remain relevant and at the same time be good in life (everything that surrounds being “Pro”, health, diet, public figure, etc.) Meanwhile real pieces of shit steal, abuse and commit crime with far less consequences b/c they are a nobody and no one pays to see the compete...

F*ck the FIM and the BS rules.

Taking away his ability to earn a living for taking any product that is over the counter within the last year is bullshit.
Heck, any rider can walk into a doc, fill out a 10 question form and get amphetamines for ADHD.

Also, I would believe after the other cases of exposure that both Roger and Aldon are aware of whats on “the list”. I highly doubt Tickle was sneaking this into his program and there was some confidence in taking it
and not getting popped for it being on the “dirty” list. With it still being undetermined (legal or not) I think Tickle is the “Fall Guy” for it.

My 2 cents of course not reading thru all the threads.

Gotta know the rules. It was either straight up cheating or complete incompetence by him and his team. Neither is an excuse. Now he will face the consequences.

I know. It’s an unpopular opinion nowadays to believe that people should be held accountable for their actions.

Here in Colorado you can buy marijuana over the counter in any strip mall so I can imagine what kind of stuff they put in some of these supplements that are not regulated by the FADA so just because you can buy it over the counter does not make it safe or legal in some sports. I think the penalty is to stiff for a first offence but it is still up to the rider and then a lesser extent his trainer to make sure what he is taking is OK.

Now if I was paying someone six figures to get me in shape I would follow their plan to the letter to get my return on the investment. I would think Baker runs a clean program but he also came for the dirtiest sport on the planet when it comes to PEDs so he has got to know something about drug testing. MX is a small sport and if he was ruining a dirty program for MX riders he would destroy his career also. Either way Broc is probably screwed and he may deserve it just like Stewart deserved his punishment even though I think it is too severe for a first offence.

Yep, seems to be a lot of millennials on this forum that prefer to blame the people that caught him.......f**k the police!

Guys can blame WADA FIM etc all they like but every competitive sport is subject to tests and measures...... and if it isn't, then plain and simple it is wrestling. Then pump in the millions that are at the higher end of the sport and you dont have to look far for the incentive to take a risk.....

I am certain that Broc is a great guy. I am certain that Davi is a great guy. I am certain that Bubba is a great guy etc

Gotta agree that 4 years is too long but there has to be a worthwhile deterrent. For me that would be 1 or 2 years for something like this.... enough to cause issues... not enough to end a career until it is repeated.......... I hope Broc's B sample bails him out

thumbs up here Asimo

Fully agree w Devin. These guys are gladiators trying to stay healthy and successful. MX and SX are meat grinder sports, just staying healthy at all is a major full time job. They ALWAYS risk life and limb for OUR entertainment and very little monetary benefit (top 5 guys maybe eek out a living when you consider their income has to be amortized over a 30-40 normal everyman career horizon), and should be afforded some concession for that. Feld, FIM, Youthstream do not do jack shit to benefit riders and their needs, they are churned through the system because there will always be another 16 year old hungry kid they can chew up and spit out. Stars in our sports are few and far between because their average life expectancy in the sport is something in the neighborhood of 3.6 years as a pro.

The people who think a 4 year ban is acceptable for this are probably the same type of people who are fine with people getting jail time for marijuana.

The penalty is irrelevant. It's widely known and the same for everyone.

The penalty is very relevant actually. You'll see that with most of us who have a problem with the penalty, we would be ok with it if they would just make it reasonable. Once again, 4 years in the sport is NOT reasonable.

Wada makes the rules, penalties. Until they change, or if they do they are what they are. Dont like them, dont make foolish mistakes.

Motocross is not special when it comes to penalties. In most football codes athletes have similar age based career lengths. Come to prominence in late teens or early twenties, peak by mid to late twenties, and by the time thirty comes around they’re either done or clearly fading. Yes there are exceptions but that is pretty normal.
