It’s a conspiracy against the sport to show how dangerous it is so that people won’t let the kids race by a bunch of paid bots. Laughing

On a serious note I was a bit confused at how he sat there for such a long time and then when he finally got back into the race he was in fourth place I think it was? I thought he sat there for at least a lap if not more.. Huh

I find it funny that people are mad at the broadcast about missing a crash during a live event. Had FS1 been following Tomac and nothing happened and let’s
say, Anderson went off the track or collided with a rider while coming back through the pack... people would complain. Wasn’t Tomac a couple seconds back? There wasn’t a fight for the lead.

Is there a way to know what’s going to happen before it happens?

And yes.. I am complaining about complainers. Makes me no different than the others.
You say that like the only camera recording was what they are showing. You realize there is a lot more being recorded than what you're seeing.

Absolutely I understand that, but they don’t have one camera for every rider. They can’t possible catch everything “that’s gonna happen”.

I just find that people complain about the live broadcast and missing shots in hindsight.

Meh, whatever. I guess I’ve been around long enough to hear so many complaints about the live broadcast I am realizing you can’t possible make everyone happy. That’s it.

He was mixed in with the 4th or 5th place riders, but was a lap down.

I can remember my only SX fix coming from INF-MOTO, cycle news, or a 30 second blurb on ESPN...I’ll take the live broadcast problems and all...

What I found interesting is near the last few laps of the race he slowed to nearly a stop in the turn before the finish line to let Anderson by. Pretty nice thing to do for a guy your trying to beat. Tomac looked good in his first qualifier and them seemed to look a bit out of sorts. Marv had him covered in the main and Eli pulled an Eli.

My buddy and I were at the races and he says to me “Well Tomac is fast tonight but he has a 20% chance at crashing his brains out” He was right.

During practice. He tripled into the corner before the finish, someone cut down, and he slammed the brakes. Similar to the Dungey pass on James a few years back at A1, except Eli slammed the brakes and did a stoppie into the berm. Very small crash, he didn't hit the ground hard.

That was in practice casing a quad. They showed the replay on the broadcast.

Good to see Tomac get back in the race, instead of taking it to the garage, would of been exciting to watch him and Marv battle. Was hoping to see a vid here.

Second, Eli was clearly dazed, just from the two seconds they showed l told my wife Eli is out of it. So with all this talk of concussions and safety why in the hell was a guy who landed on his head allowed to continue with out being looked at?

All the talk about safety is really just a fig leaf for doing nothing.
I will make sure to consult you the next time we update the concussion program.
Do you mind listing your educational background and work experience?

Sorry to upset your tender sensibilities, jackass.

And if that's your protocol, try again.

Don't need anymore than common sense butthurt guy.

Maybe they didn’t show it because it would look bad seeing a concussed rider get back out on the track. When was the last time footage recorded of a wreck by a top contender was not shown during the broadcast?

Upset my tender sensibilities? No I don't think so.
Its called sticking up for oneself or in this case sticking up for a program I put a lot of thought and passion into.

A protocol that has actually been copied by other athletic institutions.

This is VitalMX, if you think for one second you can come on this forum and talk shit about something you obviously know nothing about think again.

You are right about one thing, common sense, you should try it next time you write something.

So it looks like he didn't hit his head too much but his chest sure took a hit, no wonder he needed a couple minutes.
