Just repeat what we already knew.
Racer X acts like they got some special scoop of information, they need to sell those magazines too.

Weege to Davey;
We need some special part, unobtainable, to make this story work, how about the ECU?

I followed James Sr. around and he didn't tell me crap, so I wrote a story about crap.

The truth is James Jr. doesn't give a shit about talking to Racer X or anyone else, so Racer X takes the opportunity to write this and sell magazine subscriptions as the only mag that has the JS7 scoop.

They will sell a boat load of subscriptions just because of that article, maybe send JS7 a check in the mail?

And you're Mr. Big Deal and know the real facts, right?

Sure. Whistling
Never mentioned any "fake stories," Davis. Just saying. The word fake wasn't used once in his post...

one can argue the 250s he was spanking werent a match for his works 125.

the headcases these guys are if they believe that then they will preform just like that thinking that its not enough

I took the quote at face value (what do I know about factory ECU's?) but Matthes, Keefer and JT have asked all there factory racer connections as well as some team managers and they were all perplexed that James would say that.

Seems they think otherwise.
Well its not like they would say," Oh yea he is talking about our traction control".

You are an absolute fucking fool if you do not think Stew can still win races. The question I have: what Stew will show up? The ripped, I eat, breathe, sleep, and fuck (as DV would say) Supercross or the 2016 Supercross is hobby Stew. Its all up to Stew.

As far as the Tyson remark --- if you know anything about his boxing, Tyson was not the same after Cus died.

I am a huge fan of James, I think what happened with his suspension is a pathetic embarrassment to the sport, even though some of the blame lies with James himself. Nobody forced the FIM's hand in suspending him, it was their call and they have total discretion to do whatever they want.
That being said, if he wanted to be out there bad enough, he would be. If he doesn't want to pay out of his own pocket, that's his prerogative, but it makes his alleged desire to be racing seem a little empty. Tons of guys with a pitifully miniscule fraction of his resources make it to the races every week.

I think most all of us are fans of Stewart. After seeing him ride when his head is right, you'd have to be pretty stupid to not be. But, from the start of his pro career the Stewart camp has expected to be treated and catered to at a level above everyone else. As long as he was killing the competition it worked out quite well for them. Now that he is no longer on the top of his game they are finding out that no one is willing to meet their demands any longer. Hope he saved some of that huge money.

I did not see that at the beiginning of his career. I will say as Stew has gotten older, he's become far more private and mysterious. When he was 16 -- he was a kid who wanted to race and win.

And it has not always been easy the Stewarts ---- lets remember the fucking gems at Southwick who were yelling some pretty nasty language to him in front of his mom. I heard it at the races Ive attended. The Stewarts BROKE DOWN major barriers.

After retirement, I hope James dives in the sport. Everyone was worried about RV vanishing ---- I can see Stew vanishing.

I do not believe Stewart WILL win any more races in his career, but I do believe he CAN.

There's no reason to think it isn't possible. He's younger than Chad, his body isn't past the point of no return.

It's just a matter of if he can get his mind in the right place and get his body in shape to race. I don't see it happening at this point, but to say it's impossible would be foolish.

Ok...maybe not, but you sure insinuated that DC enhanced his story by using an unobtainable part term, put it in Big James' mouth (because he doesn't want to talk to RacerX) and made it like Big James was saying the stuff about James not riding without a factory ECU...all in an effort to sell magazines.

That's the closest thing to calling DC "fake" that I can think of without using the words. Wonder how he would feel about being slandered?

I've always found DC to be pretty straight up. Weege too.

You're kidding, right? Too good to go the Pro-Circuit 125 route to the Kawasaki Team, he had to be full factory riding out of the factory team 18 wheeler. Not a very good "team player" either through the Monster Energy Team Kawasaki days. Can't say I blame him too much for that last one, and maybe not the first one either. They got what they wanted, which was more than anyone else.

At that time Newmann, Stew had some leverage as Factory Honda was wooing him at the sametime. Additionally, those 125s teams were not like the 250F teams today (TLD, Geico, PC are factor bikes --- not mod bikes). Was RC's KX125 the same as Nick Wey's KX125? Did RC race Fox Gear when his teammates could not pick a gear company? Stew was a generational rider who had leverage.

Don't direct your responses towards me. You're getting your panties bunched over nothing. So what are you saying, they ran this JS7 shit because they didn't think it would equate to viewership of their magazine? That doesn't make sense, now does it?

Sorry, man...I totally missed the mark. I used the wrong quote. You said nothing. My apology.

My deal was that, although of course this was written to sell magazines...I don't believe Davey or Weege knowingly put in bullshit information to do it with. speed_racer was basically saying that they did exactly that, and I thought that was pretty lame to call them out for doing it.

James can't win a main or overall anymore. He had a good run was one of the greats but it's all over now.
The aderral deal just ended what was a great career. He isn't even a top eight or ten guy at this point.
Let's be totally honest he can't run with the top three in sx and that's not a put down the top three are in a league of their own.

Obviously it's bullshit... come on dude. Alessi and Friese pull holeshots. Are they on factory ECU's? For the love of God can the James Stewart speak end?????

I would love to hear this one as well. My impression was that Mike Webb stayed supportive of Stewart albeit through gritted teeth. He undoubtably had the toughest job of all the team managers in the paddock. Bet the guy could write a book.

Hahaha, you two are just so clueless.

How can you not understant this FIM/ Wada thing if you read this forum or read something about the sport from Racer X or somewhere?

Man I hate not seeing the guy ride anymore. But, I am over all the shenanigans and could care less if he retires now, he's got nothing left to prove, to me anyway. Tiger woods is going through the same thing in golf right now. He kicked everyone's ass for a long time, but has since fallen off the wagon so to speak. The media keeps jamming his name in the publics ear and everyone is over it. Plenty of new talent to watch.
Tiger Woods dominated for many years. James Stewart only kicked everyone's ass from 07-09. Unless you count the 250 class, but I never do. We forget this because of the sporadic incredible rides he has put in since then keep us believing he was still that same guy.

How can you forget the any days James was on a Dirt bike at all? Back when he raced 125s that was the most exciting class to watch! Come on man! Are you new to this sport? When James had braces were you in your moms belly?

Did you ever see the race when he stopped and let Chad Reed pass him and toyed with him and then whooped his azz because CR was talking shit about if he got a good start he would beat James and so James said here you go pass me and show me what you got! One of the best races I ever saw!

Are you struggling with your reading comprehension here? I literally directly said in my post that I don't personally count the 250 class for anything, and you proceed to give examples only of the 250 class.

Bd- Tyson was upset after Cus passed, but Cus passed right before Mike won his first title! It wasn't until Mike switched teams, from the Team Cus with long time trainers and managers, to team Don King. It was all down hill after he went with King. I was trying to find a parallel between Tyson going to King and JS7 but couldn't really find any.
