I though Deano did really well. Think having a ride now has lifted a lot of stress off his shoulders and he will continue to get better and better each week. He qualified well, yeah he had two crashes but think he ran as high as 7th in the main at one point. I believe that he will continue to fight around the 6th 10th place next few rounds and will sneak a podium in this season. Solid start

He did great...what did he finish 9th? Or 10th?

This guy "deano" gets more fan boners than I've ever seen for a borderline top 10 guy

Good first race. I think that Yamaha would have been more stable over difficult track and woops but next rounds will be indoors and Husky will work great.

Because he's humble and shows that he genuinely loves the sport. He's also had really bad luck only finishing 13 races in the last 3 years so everyone just wants the best for him. I dunno why you would have a problem with that??

He isn't a borderline top 10 guy. The dude did four races in supercross between 15 and 16 and all the injuries made him lose his confidence like it would do to anyone. The dude qualified quicker Then all the 450s twice in 2014 on his 250. He will keep getting better he has the speed to be a consistent top 5 guy

It's nice to compare Mookie and Deano. Both had to prepare for the season kinda similar way, with healthy offseasons. Mookie has been agressive and maybe faster than Deano but Deano has done a lot better for himself.

Mookie has good results in him, but he needs easyer track. His fitness is not enough for gnarly track like that.

You do remember how fucking epic he was when it was all going right, right?

Wait and see. It's still there.

Yep. New bike, arguably a lot more stress from new team exposure and in back of his mind not wanting to be subject of press release regarding another injury. If he's making Top 10 with all that then Wilson is riding a gravy train with biscuit wheels! Fan favorite for sure.

There's a reason for that. There's a reason the majority of fans are rooting for him. And there's a reason why you're in the minority and don't get it.

Why do you think you're in the minority and don't get it?

So being happy for a guy who's putting in work on his own and is getting good results, you consider that a fan boner?

Going from the cannondale to the husky was a huge step up.

Being a National Champion can do a lot for your fan base.

He was as a high as 6th, I was hoping he'd hold on to that by the checkers. Malcom was also having a good night right up till he ran into Dean Grinning

2) beat up track
3) whooped some pretty good riders

Yes it was a successful night, he should be happy with it!

It could be argued the works bike was only good for one better position( and grant wasn't there). It really makes the Yamaha look good, as well as the husky. Two days practice then that track? And still top ten? I bet his boss is satisfied.

For as long as he had on the bike I'd say he did amazing! few more test days and he could be pushing top 5 I believe!

Winning a National Championship a round early can do that to followers of the sport. Don't worry about it mate.

Better finishing tenth than blowing out another knee and having all the internet trolls talk shit on you for being out injured, again!

Carry on.

1. Same bike but injured for most of his 2 years with KTM.
2. True
3. Tickle, Brayton, Weimer, Frieses, Alessi, Stewart, Bogle. All fast guys on good equipment.

Don't understand why people can't be happy for a guy that worked hard to get a factory ride back.
