Looks like he grew a couple inches. ^^^^^ There is no next RC. RC never lost an outdoor title. Forkner already has.

You never know how far into a moto one is, who's doing sprints vs long motos or at what point their off-season boot camp is.

Man that HD made it feel like I could reach out and touch Forkner. He may not be the next RC.....but, IMO, even better...he's the first AF and next champion.

Ya, what was that filmed with??? The video quality was superb, even in the relatively low light of an overcast day!

Great video. Not sure if it was because it's filmed up close but it seems smaller and slower than TV coverage. To me anyway...

Best MX video I have watched in a long time!!! ...so nice to not have a hip hop song playing to drowned out the bike or slow motion to full speed to slow motion to fast forward bs. Just a kid living the dream. Hope AF has a great year!

It was filmed/exported at a different frame rate than usual. Most film at 24 frames per second, or film higher for smoother slo-mo then export at 24 frames per second. It's for a more realistic of theatre movie look. While this movie was shot and exported at 60 frames per second. It looks smoother and more CG'ish because there are more frames of pictures playing out per second to fill in the gaps. Hopefully that makes sense.

It looks bitchen, like Doc said, was like you could reach out and touch him. Really a big fan of James' work.

He looks fast, efficient like a vet. He just need to keep his cool for his rookie year in SX. A stadium can be over whelming too, but if he does what he did in MX, by not rushing it, he could very well wrap up a few wins in SX this year. I like what he does, that is why I do not wish him the SX title in his first attempt because the 450 class is too stacked, a bit more experience will help him to make the transition nicely.

ML512 pretty much summed it up. For the raw stuff I say screw the cinematic 24p (23.976) and film everything in 60p (59.94) as I like the look better for this type of video. I also typically throw out the 180 shutter rule for the raw stuff, unless there's a lack of light.

Thanks OC, appreciate it!

BTW Doc if you thought that HD looked good check out this UHD (4K) of the Martin brothers haha
(Pretty sure 4k is only available in Google Chrome)

He looks good. Smooth, riding within his limits. He's going to be a force on the track. The way he rides it looks like he will transition to the 450 just fine when the time comes. Love watching him ride.

I doubt we have seen the next RC.

RC pulled 20 second leads halfway into motos by riding out of control and laying down track record lap times week in, week out.

I used to love watching RC pull top 5 starts and make passes at every point during the first couple of laps. Straight aways, corners, whoops, rhythm sections, he was just faster than everyone else.

Living the dream and getting paid, he needs to remind his mechanic to put the # 1 between 2 and 4 on his plate's, lol. Appears to be a humble kid from his interview's and I think he will stand on many podium's.

Super smooth. No bouncing off the limiter every 2 seconds, just controlled and precise. Will be a serious contender on any coast. Really dig the style and he seems to fit that bike perfectly size wise at the moment too

Probably a dumb question but is he going to be riding west or east?
