Although some fool will buy one.
The vimeo video is like a dude, on a greenscreen. Bro on greenscreen has sensors on said dude. Said dude is actually laying down virtual movements for the very newest moto game.
Ryno just forgot to throw on the sensors and put said pogo on the wrong set. Thats all that really went down.
Seriously, it seems pretty comical for someone that as knows as much about riding as Ryno to push this. Repetition involves not just body position, but also repeating what your body FEELS. When you hang off the side of the MotoWobbler...the loads will be totally different from when you actually ride a bike. Too funny.
But hey...it's all about making a buck right.
That was impressive!
Ryno has a new product. No one is forced to buy it. If you don't like it don't buy it.
Then ride the whoops
Didnt work for me
Good luck with it!!
It was actually kind of fun. Hey, even David would jump on it once in a while!
Pit Row
No I haven't been drinking.
No I am not getting paid to endorse this product.
Transitioning from teaching moment learned in the strength room is challenging more so if the rider is coming off an injury. I have had riders practice some drills on a bike stand and then transition to the track only to lose some of the mechanics we worked so hard to get. Proper weight distribution over the pegs, the bars and seat in conjunction with good mechanics is key to proficiency. Trainers will seek to do this by using BOSU's, physio balls, foam pads, wobble boards etc etc. the problem is you can't do upper and lower at the same time without getting out of proper riding position.
A simple exercise that comes to mind that we do in the gym that you could do on this spring bike is practicing sit to stand mechanics, in particular the hip hinge, against resistance. You start by placing a band around a persons hips and have them stand and execute proper hip extension. You may find the person can do these flawlessly in the gym but when they transition to the bike and they are putting weight on the bars they will push their knees back instead of pushing hips forward when going from a sit to stand. You can complicate matters worse by having them go from a position of turning into standing. If you can not transition the skill from gym to bike you will most likely smoke your hamstrings causing low back problems which in turn will lead to crappy shoulder positioning and now you start getting arm pump. Then you will end up really wasting your money on some arm pump device that won't fix your root problem.
Can you get carried away with some stupid exercises on this thing? YES
Is it overpriced? YES
Does it have a place in the training program? If you can reduce the price YES if not NO.
Is it for everybody? NO I would have a difficult time setting this up in my clinic. One I don't have anywhere to anchor it down. Second I can't keep a bike in the clinic for everyone to use.
Post a reply to: Has ryno lost it?
