I've said for a few years that I would never kick start a bike again after buying my KTM 350....but this was to good pass up. The 03-07 kx 250 has always fit me like a glove. People always rag on these bikes, but they fit me to a T. Well here is the low down. A kid I know bought this a month ago from the original 45 year old owner. He rode it 2 times and did like the feel in the woods, so he sent it my way.

2006 KX 250

Pro-Circuit pipe and 304 silencer
Phathead aftermarket head with 3 replaceable domes
Brand new Pro Taper bars and grips
Brand new Acerbis handguards
Brand new top triple clamps
New RK O-ring chain
Brand new front tire
Billet hubs
3 flywheel weights
Brand new SDG seat

The best part.......$1800

I cannot believe how clean the whole bike is, and I am pumped as shit to take he for a rip.

Yes it is. It has the stock compression ratio in it currently. But he gave me 2 more dome options.

@ gsxrcr28 Thanks man!

Let us know, good Sir, what dome/weight combo works best for you. I have an '07 with the low compression dome and FMF SST pipe and frankly its a bit weak.

Where do you live? People here in L.A. are trying to sell 85's for $1800. OK its not THAT bad, but close. Nice score.

I rode a friend's 06 before he sold it and I absolutely loved the bike as well. Only took a few laps for me to be really comfortable and that was before I even touched a clicker! I was seriously considering selling my rm and trying to find one of these, but it seemed like all the ones in my area were either too expensive or too old, you have a heck of a find on your hands!

these bikes always felt really big to me but i know thoe motors are awfully potent (yz clone)

can the weird stink bug stance they have be fixed or is it a terminal issue as far as handling goes..?

Nice, I like those KXs! Front fender sticks out a little in front, but you scored big time.

It's been years since I have ridden one haha, but I do not remember that feeling.

Tomorrow I am going to give it a good baseline setting and see how it feels.

Sadly I may not get to ride it much until late August, due to a run in with Johnny law I may have an ankle bracelet for a bit of time

I loved my 2003 Kawi 250. Rode the thing three years without a top end rebuild! Bone stock except I revalved the suspension myself and it handled great. Not sure why it was so maligned at the time. I did some trick stuff by putting thrust bearings under all the spring seats to prevent coil windup. seemed to help. Wish I kept it.
