So I'm new to the forum!! My friend shane is a member here and I decided to make an account. We recently built shane a better version of my ktm that I had. SUPER bad ass ktm 250sx. Except he was way more frivolous and blinged it to the moon. But my bike still had the 300 kit Smile . I recently sold my 2012 ktm in the dream of owning a brand new bike. I had my bike pretty dialed and and it was so sad to see it go! But I got something I knew I was going to be able to work on and have some basic knowledge about. Something so new and so fresh that I had to have the first one!! Here it is, Brand new TC250!!

The only thing I've done to it is change my bars and grips and I put a fmf factory pipe with shorty silencer. The motor is a clone to the 2014 ktm 250sx. I rode it down the road today and man the thing is absolutely gutless. Very dissapointed in ktm's lack of jetting and the stupid boyesen reed cage! JUNK!!!!!!

I changed my jetting to what most ktm gurus know as the "DIGGER SPECIAL" thanks to the one and only Digger! 40 pilot NECJ needle 175 main and a 6.5 slide in the stock 36mm carb for know untill I can save up the funding for the 38mm carb and the 300 kit again, oh and my v-force reed cage!

I can't wait to ride!! Hopefully my graphics come in soon so I can get rid of those ugly yellow fork gaurds!!

Nice ride!

I never liked the Rad Valves either, but I haven't tried one since I threw my '92 KX125's in the garbage.

Very nice. I'm getting a new tc125 and it's cool to see some one else with a new husky I agree about the fork guards too, first thing I'm doing is buying some white wrap-around fork guards haha.

Best of luck gettin her all dialed in. I gotta say I dig the new husky's stock look, I personally think they have the best lookin new stock bike so far. Keep us updated with pics of new mods/bling.

I would love to buy a new TC125 "for my son" and ring the guts outta that thing, my first ever brand new bike was an '02 husky CR125. I raced it for two years, there is just something about husky's that they have their own cool factor.

Hope you enjoy the new two smoker, like I said keep us updated on the new ride......

But I thought the stock KTM 250sx came with a 38?

Welcome John Boy! Ride that thing and see if you the jetting change wakes it up. You'll probably be surprised...just do the 38 carb and skip the 300 kit!

And Monday we will order you up some blue kite hubs, A60 rims, black spoke and blue nipples. It'll get ya dialed in!

Nope. Stock 250's come with 36mm carb and the 125 has a 38mm on it.

My KTM has the 38. I don't have much to compare it to since it was never ridden with the stock carb.

I have a brand new 36 if anyone needs one.

Ok so I got the chance to finally play with this thing! Let me just start with saying how awesome this thing is! Went riding last week but made a pit stop to Digger's house before we went. Picked up some v-force 4 reeds and a 125 38mm carb. Got to the track and immediately put that thing on! What a difference from stock! This thing is awesome right of the floor. The suspension was a little stiff so I called factory and had them send me down some springs. If it feels good i'll ride it for a while, If not i'll probably have to get it revalved! Had my graphics guy make me a sweet matte finish with hologram logos and boom. I'm ready to go riding! Smile here's a few update pics!

Honestly, I like the stock look, but you've done a nice job setting it up for your taste. Enjoy.

Did you heat the tubing in water to get it over the spring?

I didn't take a photo, but at the Aussie champs last week,

All the factory bikes had a small alluminium strap 1" x 2", this was pop riveted from the top rear of the side number plate to the edge of the rear guard. Ugly on a Factory bike.

One of the privateers snapped the complete guard off at the seat!

Great looking bikes though.

They also ran that Intellijet in the carby???

Bike looks awesome, not over done. How different are the ergo's from your ktm?

Alright, so I figured I'd update!! I put a solid 20 hours on this thing and I absolutely love it. I've been riding mainly the same track but got to do some riding with Ktmshane699 and Digger29 at mx207 and a few other tracks and those guys are awesome! It took me a little while to get used to the geometry of bike as I came off a 2012 ktm 250sx, which is virtually identical. The only mods I've done to the bike so far are, 38mm carb off the 150, v-force 4 reeds, a killer jetting spec from digger, fmf works pipe and shorty silencer, and I just recently went to the dark side and put a sxs300 kit in! All I did suspension wise was change the springs to my weight, no revalve, no fancy bearings, set the sag and send it! I did add 10 more cc of oil in the front fork so it wouldn't bottom as hard! I'm pumped on it, no issues thus far knock on wood! But who else has one of these things!? Not many people making the switch!!

here is my ride report about my new TC250: I broke it in yesterday. 4-15 to 20 minute motos, it is insane. i spent a week on a yz 250 and a race day on a ktm 300sx over the last 2 weeks and I just can't believe how good this bike is. the 250 engine is aggressive, will stand the front end anytime. the handling rivals the rm250 and with the additional power it is over the top. granted i just rode milestone and it was not rough compared to glen helen, so if i get the chance i will be at gh on thursday. Suspension was nice for this old guy and got better each moto. I hope all your riding this w/e was fun and safe.

I love the look and feel sitting on it, but I refuse to commit until I can ride one. That suspension worries me.

Have no fear. It kicks the shot out of my 2010 KX450 KYB stuff. It has an A-kit ridged feel.... Which I love. You can push it super hard and it remains PREDICTABLE!

SO I brought my girl's 125 to my suspension guy last night and he brought up an interesting question..
maybe you guys can help..

Does the TC250 have the new 4chamber forks or do they still have the older WP stuff?
10/9/2014 3:37pm
The 15 model has all the frame and suspension updates as ktm meaning yes it has 4cs

So the '13 Husaberg's had the 4cs forks, but the '14 Husky's didn't get them?
