I've been following moto since the early 1970s and the videography of Matty B's coverage was the best I've ever seen.  Its as close to capturing what it's like to actually be at the track without being there in person.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRX0T4NTOlw&t=792s

He is a good follow. His videos are always good and his commentary has some humor.

Literally, this type of footage brings all the emotion of the event, it really is the noise and the details of the bikes and riding

His sections showing the first couple laps of the riders in about 10th place back are AWESOME!  The TV crew should show that!  The front runners space out a bit and set fast laps. The guys in 10th back are bar to bar 4 wide scrubbing 110’ jumps. That’s incredible to see.

There is not much current  stuff moto related on YouTube that is worth watching.

He does a great job, surprised racer x hasn’t offered him something.

I stood by him or around him for the whole Big Hill Jam. Super cool guy. He puts out fantastic content and has amazing quality considering he's shooting with just his phone and it's mostly recorded live as it happens.

I noticed his MXON videos are getting 100k+ views in just a few days, so that's awesome for him because thatll mean more video sponsors etc. I enjoy the raw fill and its wild if he just using his phone.

Guessing it is more beneficial for him to keep going it the way he has been. Not exactly sure how the YouTube monetization goes but hope he’s doing well. Def a solid guy just having some fun.

It blows my mind that MattyB isn’t getting paid to go to races at this point. His coverage is great, his opinions are both insightful & entertaining, and he seems to keep such a positive attitude about everything that it doesn’t matter if he pokes fun or used a less than appropriate nickname.

He’s also been super helpful & kind the couple times I’ve met him. Stinks he couldn’t even get a media pass to some of the races this year. Seems like if 100k + of us watch his videos, he’s  a media guy now 🤷🏻‍♂️

Very good. That footage looks so much more impressive and exciting than the TV images.

And don’t tell me that every one of those riders isn’t giving it every ounce of their effort.

Please ditch the sushi and wasabi references though.

He actually made a video one time comparing what he made on YouTube versus if he had raced at the stop watch national I think it was. If I remember more from yt than had he raced. And that was at time of video, so if views go up so would monetization I assume.

Had a few people tell me about this thread, thank you all!! Have so so much passion for this so really hypes me up that people enjoy! To broadly answer some questions from above, I am making way way more now than I did racing with much less risk…not that I was really making much racing so a pretty low bar was set but I’m way better off now.  1st couple years of YouTube were really tough & I was barely getting by & I was racing as well so both things were distracting me from the other, but now that I’ve been able to focus on content since im not racing things have really picked up & I’m stoked about it! Racing was really fun & I loved it but it’s just not a career when you lack a bit of talent like I sometimes do 😂 my body is cooked but at least what I did while racing has led me to stay in the sport! I appreciate the kind words and all of you that watch, you help me do what I love! Thank you!!

Also Here’s the video someone mentioned where I did the comparison on racing & YouTube for anyone that’s interested

Did you ever get your knee fixed and are you riding at all anymore? Love the YouTube channel. Getting some killer views on your MXdN vids and you got a spike in subs, too

When I first started seeing your work, I guess some of your 1st videos, posted here I thought:"This guy should take this seriously, and make a buck or 2". Haha...

Glad it's going your way, and I'm always ready for new stuff.
