Looks like the swap to Honda isn't going as he hoped? Training with the Lawrences, putting the work in, I thought he would be top fives and threes easy, getting wins from time to time. Perhaps the level has gone up again.

There’s some pretty stout competition to be getting top 5’s…

With time, people will realize that what roczen did with a privateer suzuki team, is one of the greatest features of american motocross.....

There were a few bike issues over the weekend, one moto he was rolling everything the last couple laps because it was cutting out. Blew an engine in practice and missed most of timed sesssion 1.

His bike is good but it doesn’t look podium good. Looked like he was almost killing himself to keep 5-8 at all 3 rounds.

When I saw the qualis and he was 6 seconds back on Jett wtf!! And during the races he doesn’t seem to even be able to put his late moto charges as he used to. When you think back to Redbud mxon speed it hurts seeing that. Really though he had taken time off supercross and came back late to be ready for outdoors but doesn’t look like it.

Yep DV clearly cut through the BS and allowed Dylan to perform. Also, that switch to Honda was a mental thing. Wonder if he feels the same now after engine DNF’s and less resources. He blew that bridge up pretty badly

Engine problems are hurting but flat tracks where everyone can push 35mins wont allow him catch up late motos. I think when he was with DV he wanted to win and nothing else maybe now there are more things in his life.

Agreed. I remember seeing him full send things that no one else would do for a whole season. Then all of the sudden he just rides normal fast….its like he lost his drive.

Cannot help but think that he needs DV back.

I was thinking the same.   Dominant outdoors and MX Champ...hopefully rejoins w DV and finds his raw bull dog speed.

I don't think he's lost his drive, I mean he literally said he wants to win. He will be in the top 5 again once he gets the bike better, if he was on Jett's bike he would already be a top 5/podium guy. The only people who should be beating a 100% Ferrandis in this field is Jett and Sexton.

Unless Jett, Chase, or Hunter crashe they pretty much have the podium locked down.  Even to get into the top five you be battling with JCoop, Ando, Barcia, and AP,  Even getting into the top 5 is an accomplishment.

I thought he’d be doing better than he is right now tbh. He’d probably be doing better on a Star Yama right now.

And Hunter and J-Coop.  Times have changed.

Glad someone brought up how fast he was at the Red Bud MXdN. He was out most of '22 mx but he was FLYING at Red Bud. Where did that guy go?

Is he still vegan? That typically catches up with people after a few years leading to lower performance potential.

Dylan is a helluva rider but the pointy end of the pack is a long way out in front of him these days. His title was legit but it seems like a long long time ago at this point.

Yeah, I'm sure a top mx'er in 2024 is not considering nutrition as a factor in their career.

My wife and I were doing great being vegan for 7 years until we started eating meat again and neither of us have felt great so I 100% disagree with you.

About to start juicing again for that vitamin boost.

As for DF14 on the Phoenix Honda they are a really good team with support from Honda so the bikes are good.

What we do not know is what had happened during the week that can knock a rider down a notch or two.

Isn't he still rebuilding from injuries and team changes? Speed takes time to come back after being down for a while. It will be the same when Eli and Webb come back. They need need to rebuild.

With DV knowing Dylan better than anyone on here id love to know his thoughts on what is going on. I wish my French was A bit better cause I can only understand about half of what he is saying in his podcast. Cajun French is just too different.
