As fast as RC + Bubba have been, I don't think any riders have matched MC for style...... Best style ever. Esp back in his prime. Nice find.

Great video! I love it that he still rides lots and looks great.

Finally some music worth listening too - not that rap shit.

Long live the King of Supercross. Nice to see the original #2, I remember when Ryan
came home after spending the day with Jeremy when he was like 12 and wanting to
be like his hero. Jeremy has always been a class act.

The 72 wins might be beaten b y stewart but MC will have 7 titles that I cant see Stewart beating so MC will always be the king of SX. Bubbba will never beat the records of MC RC or Everts. and he lost to both RC and Everts. they may be the 3 greatest forever can anyone beat their records?.

I just want a tenth of his style. I could be very happy with that.

I wonder how frustrating it is for team managers (Kehoe and RD) when their test riders (MC and RC) are still better in their retirements than their current group of contracted racers .... I could watch this over and over... awesome fluid style and such a great rider, Long live the KING!!!

OH and I also think Social D was a better choice than the current crap rap they usually use in videos!!

He kind of looks like he's playing around....faster than about 99.9% of us. I don't think James will break his record. Not that he doesn't have the skill, I don't think he'll be around long enough. I think he'll be gone car racing before that. Or injuries. MC had a huge un injured streak to help get to 72. He's still my favorite of all time.

Nope especially now that pros will have to wait until 18 to race AMA...Anyhow great vid. I always loved the fact that MC didn't even start racing MX until like 12 or something..i think his stay low BMX style transformed what a dominant rider looks like. Only guy to win a large bike 250cc SX championship his rookie year to boot!

One day I got out to Elsinore really early and parked near the tower that used to overlook the main track (this way way before it was demolished to make room for the Kal-Gard truck track). MC pulled into a spot next to me and when I came off the track I was obviously pretty excited that not only was he at the track but happened to park in the next spot over. He was the first one to say Hello, he asked me how the track was and how "my ride" was going. It was really cool that this guy, still at the height of his career and popularity, was so completely cool and down to earth. I didn't feel like bothering him with any fan-boy antics (although honestly I would have liked to) so I just pretty much kept to myself ....but throughout that morning he would continuously make a comment or two after he or I would get back from a ride and just do small talk with me, simple but positive and fun things like weather, track conditions, moto-x is so much fun, etc.....it was all really pretty cool. At one point in the day a lot of little mini-rider kids started walking over and milling about near his truck, completely star-struck but keeping a distance easily of about 20 feet ...there had to be about 10 to 15 of them at one point. MC gets up after noticing them (he had his back to them and was facing the track) and just starts walking around his truck doing whatever and not saying a thing to any of these kids....I am sitting in the bed of my F-350 watching all of this and didn't know what the heck was going on. I mean this guy was completely cool to me and now I couldn't tell if the "crowd" was bothering him or what because he wasn't saying anything. In any event, he kept walking around his truck and his bike and was picking stuff up but I couldn't tell what it was because he was doing this on the side of his truck away from me. After about 5 minutes of this he finally goes right up to the kids and says "Hey guys how are you doing today? Is everyone having fun riding? Why don't you come over here and hang out." As it turns out, what he was doing out of my eye sight was picking up anything he could to sort of arrange a little seating area of odds and ends that these little guys could sit on...and then had them come over and hang with him under his easy-up. After much banter with his new friends he got up and announced that he was going out for a ride but let the kids know they were welcome to stay and hang out.....it should be no surprise that none of them left. They all just hung on the fence and for the next 15 to 20 minutes watched him completely own the track until he pulled off and came back. These kids still probably tell this story today with smiles as big as the ones they had while it was happening to them back in the day...which was probably about 7 years ago. He made those kids feel so special and to watch him go about how he did it was so genuine and unpretentious. Whenever I see him or hear his name mentioned I always reflect back to that day with great fondness and a profound amount of respect for him because I know I witnessed first hand, away from the lights the cameras and the action why it is that he will always be considered one of the greatest ambassadors this sport has ever known.

Thanks for that story. Ive got to speak to Jeremy a few times and he was always great to me. But your story really shows you what the man was all about. My respect for him went up if that is even possible.

Could watch that all day.

MC is, and always has been, the greatest ambassador this sport has ever known. MC knows it takes more than championships to be champion. I had the pleasue of meeting him at the Townsville SX last year and he was awesome. Totally coolest guy ever. Was happy to pose with my bike for the pic on the left, sign stuff and chat about the good ol' days.

I also met Chad Reed that day. Chad can take a few pages out of MC's book...more than a few actually...

MC is just a great dude and a fine ambassador for the sport. I’ll never forget one year at the Friday night SX Open House I was manning the grills and by the time I got the chance to take my then 5 yr old son in line for the signatures the riders were wrapping it up. We were probably 15-20 people back in line, MC signs a poster and then points to my little guy and makes sure that he got it, Top-shelf, class-act ALWAYS.

Awesome vid and good song that totally fits! I miss MC racing Sad I know he still does overseas races, but I wish he would still enter a few AMA SX races as well. At least do 1 Anaheim every year. That was his house! Smile
