Barcia and A-Mart....both good sand riders.
Wait, what?
The Shop
Dun, Villo and Car...all three come out of retirement and put it on the top of the box. All of those guys are still able to go full on Junkyard Dog! They have plenty of time to train and get race ready. Oh yeah take Windham as a back-up rider.
That team can knock countries like New Zealand and Australia out of the A main some years - and all because some arrogant arrogant people think its ok to send a fake 2nd team.
At least Nicoletti will get a holiday. Dickheads.
2. Pastrana
3. Windham or Sipes or Ronnie Mac ?
Pit Row
Specifically, with all the unending talk of the expense for the USA Team, who exactly pays for the PR Team?
I can't imagine that their MC Federation, if there is one, can offer much assistance.
Or that the AMA does.
So, my assumption is that either they have a 'sugar daddy', or 'sugar daddies', or, simply, the Riders (with assistance of some of their sponsors) and helpers pay their own way. Like, so many Teams and Riders do.
There's a shedload of countries that could 'play' at this 'B' Team game, with Territories and Protectorates that they have. Hell, Australia has, I think, at least 4 that could be used as such. France and Britain could also get into the game as well - as a fair few others could.
As to the Puerto Rico Teams existence - it's a Territory of the USA, from what I can find. I go looking for whether it is a Sovereign Nation or not, and find it's not regarded as such. Though, they, in Sporting Terms, seem to be regarded as such by the Olympics, and, I guess other Sporting bodies as well as the FIM. I wonder if other US sports people make use of the Puerto Rico 'thing' to get into World Team Sports events?
I, personally think it's a 'loop hole' that needs to be shut. It's either a Territory of the USA, that is not a Sovereign Nation, so is ineligible to take part, or it is an SN, and only people from there are allowed to ride for the Team. But, then, as far as I know, PR residents have US Passports (I could be wrong), so, to me it re-inforces that it doesn't seem to be a SN????
It's a bag of bloody worms. Somehow it continues, and, it's quite the farce, in my view - it would be interesting to see reactions if other countries, particularly ones like France, decided to have 'B' Teams through their Territories / Protectorates.
There will be people here that will take offense to this post - bitch / flame away, but , I believe, it should be One Country, One Team. Not One Country, with a 'spare territory' team.
Fixed it
Tell me again, who is the president of Puerto Rico?
