Indeed they are! I always tell my dad I'd be in a lot worse of a place if he didn't introduce me to riding. I'm very thankful I was able to grow up around motorcycles and still am able to ride.

x2. I always think about how I would probably just have all kinds of mental and physical health issues if I just sat around every weekend and didn’t ride.

On my way to the Helen for some seat time as I’m typing this

I find it hard to imagine what my life would be like without dirt bikes, I was never "fast" but spent almost every weekend, and still do riding or racing, I work in a motorcycle shop, I haven't watched TV in weeks because everyday when I get home I go straight to the garage to wrench, clean, or just gaze at my bikes and think about how bad ass the sport is. I mean, I'm literally sitting in a corrections class and browsing VitalMX.

Ride safe and have fun today!

Concur with OP on the fun factor...

...but really, anything on two wheels is fun. Even when those two wheels get wonky...

Been 32 years of fun thus far, don’t see that ending anytime soon. Enjoy the ride!

Will be 50 years this summer of riding dirt bikes, still loving it, sometimes my body says otherwise but when the dirt bike bug bites the desire to ride just really never goes away.

I love to ride and race. Nothing better or more fun (with the exception of sex of course).

It's hard to get it beat plumb out of you. 50 years at Christmas for me. Keep digging!

Until it isn’t...

Currently twiddling my thumbs anxiously waiting to get back on the bike.

Dirt Bikes are certainly all about FUN! I'm 69 and been riding since 1960 or so. Life long addiction. There's 4 Bikes and a shifter kart in my garage. This is what I live for. Rode The Woods Race at Washougal Sunday ....to much fun.

Same as a few above, 50 years of riding a dirt bike. No matter how bad I feeling my riding was on different days, the fun never goes away.

Joliet Mx, Byron, sunset ridge, mount carrol, LTMX, Motoland, Red Bud, muddy waters. There’s a bunch of them around our area in Illinois. I go to Joliet Mx on thursdays and find another spot over the weekend. I’m #520 if you see me out there.....say hello!

6 million people in Phoenix area. Go to the track there’s maybe 50-60 guys there on weekend practice. It’s the 1% or less that ride. Cool tight group.

Ive realised something in recent years- Ive stepped away from Moto a little, done some other things. Ive come to realise that maybe it was never about riding dirt bikes that really drew me in. It was more about the battle, the desire to be better, the pushing my limits and doing things I thought I couldn't do. The digging deep, the war with oneself.

I now actually think it was never about riding dirt bikes- it was the personal triumph and tribulations along the way.
