NBC SPORTS GOLD: can’t watch without cable provider no? Wtf?!

So I bought the full nbc sports gold package at the start of the season to stream all the races and now this weekend the app won’t let me watch more than 10 min of the race without logging in through my cable provider.

Apparently nbc didn’t get the memo that I and many others have eliminated cable and just want to pay for the content. Which I was getting but now I cant....I’ve logged into the gold packag, restarted etc etc

You’ve lost me for good NBC. Screw up one main event for me and we’re done. I want my money back.

Yea I had that issue tonight as well, and they definitely screwed something up, Luckily I subscribe to YouTube TV which allowed me to get to a second login which wanted my “gold” credentials. After that I was able to watch. Sorry for your troubles I would be pissed too.

Go to the normal NBC sports app. They merged them together, at the bottom of the main page hit the gold app and login.

Just reboot the app. Sometimes my locks up looking for a provider and I reboot the whole thing and it's fine.

Neither app worked for me on any device durring qualifying. I signed out and back in multiple times and nothing worked. Finally I called support and they literally had me do the exact same thing, sign out and then sign back in and for some reason it worked that time. So just sign out and back in until it works

login to GOLD, not the "sports" section. its confusing and NBC execs should be tarred and feathered for it, along with firing jeff.

It also sucks that if you get home later you can't freaking start the race front the beginning till the broadcast is over. By the time I got through dealing with the same login issue it turned on to Roczen being interviewed after the 2nd 450 heat. Had it been live on DirecTV I would have went to my DVR and enjoyed the entire race.

No rewind or start from the beginning just didn't make sense.

I had the same issues as most of you did. Pain in the ass but, finally got it working. About an hour in I turn to the wife and say, "You notice anything? We're seeing the commercials!" Yep....I had the entire broadcast with commercials that I paid not to see. And at one point towards the end it cut away to a hockey game for a few minutes. Not cool.

You can on a PC, I don't know why they don't allow it on mobile. The last 2 weeks I've broke out the laptop so I could start the show at the beginning.

Yes last week I had the issue and thought I had it figured out and was able to get logged in after missing the first heats(this has happened the last 4 weeks). This weekend I couldn't even get logged in and just gave up and missed the race. I must admit after first liking it, I now detest this..........................NBC Sports you suck ass!!

For whatever reason it's not in my DVR list and nothing scheduled for Nashville. We've had a few that were scheduled for Sunday because they are trying to get everyone to buy the package, which I did

Yep this was my life as well So Pissed !!!!!!!! only I called they weren't open so no help for me finally after multiple trys it works but all the heats are done WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

cable provider, as in who provides your internet. how hard is this. I don't have cable TV either, but i do have wifi which is also "cable".

I don''t have that issue. I can start watching the race 10 minutes after it starts, and watch from the beginning. The only thing that gets tricky is scrolling ahead to skip commercial breaks, without accidentaly revealing who won a heat race or the main.
