That is bullshit, there is no exceptions when it directly conflicts with the printed rule book. They have had plenty of time to amend the rule and post it. It wasn't a red light by function, it was an orange light that happen to be red by color. Riders apparently has been briefed about it and since many in 250 jumped anyway, some understood the function.

doesnt matter if the reason for the red lights is out of the way, or if it was triggered by error by a rider, the fact is that the red lights have to be 100% respected at all time so that when it's for real, it's safe. If nothing happens over it, I hope Honda and Jo sue them. There is plenty of documented precedent for penalizing those types of infractions. Additionally, the rules are crystal clear about it.

The 450 flag with Tomac and roczen seems just as bad to me. That flag is clear as day in the exact perfect spot to be visible. They aren't monster riders. Pretty much just Honda seems to be getting screwed if there are no penalties. IMO. Keeps the series closer... Is all I can think.

If it blinks 3 short flashes and 1 long, it means you're in trouble and must report to the race director. If it flashes 1 long and 3 short, your order is ready at the snack shack.

There is no confusion. That pages clearly says "no double, triple, etc..." under a red cross flag OR flashing red light. The AMA just shit the bed on this. Period, end of story.
