I don’t follow team management details very much at all but even with no prior knowledge if you just looked at the last two years there’s clearly a problem at Kawasaki. Having said that how do you reconcile your two main statements - they’ve done everything for Chase but they need to go? I’m finding it hard to understand how both can be true. Outside of the normal trolls, what disrespect and what's anyone saying that's not deserved? He's my current favorite American rider but its hard to to call him a flake. Or a diva. I dont know, its one of those things. Maybe it is s shit show at Kawi, just look at Jorge last year. But Chase certainly seems to have a history here. Honda, KTM, now Kawi? The stuff Mathes and Blair were saying on their weekly podcast was crazy. Sounds like the Chase/Kawi relationship is pretty bad. Already?!

This is really starting to seem a lot like the factory Yamaha 450 program before Star. Multiple riders not riding anywhere close to there potential. I was bashing on Prado last year but he seems somewhat vindicated. Not for quitting but for saying the bike sucks.

I've said it before but Kawi needs to hire me to be the Manager. I'll run it into the ground for a lot less.

Kawi team is a process. Currently their process is terrible and cleaning house is needed regardless if Chase stays or goes.

I sort of agree - he isn’t washed up as a rider. However his team options are becoming limited. The door is shut at Honda and KTM. If he leaves Kawi the only factory option left is Yamaha. I’d guess they’d find a spot for him with J Cooper apparently leaving but he’d be playing second fiddle to Deegan and maybe even third behind Webb (at least for SX). I guess Suzuki is an option but would they be able to pay him what he wants and does he want to be on what is a semi-factory team at best...

This is what got him to Kawasaki. Another bike will fix everything. Multiple past champions said no bike is perfect and at some point the rider has to stop chasing and ride the bike. It’s worked for Roczen.

I get the short-term logic, it’s like justifying a present decision based on expected future upside. On paper, sure, it can make sense. But long term, I think it will age poorly. My view is: 1. His results likely don’t change much from what they have been at Kawasaki (not enough wins) 2. If that happens, we probably see the same cycle again where the bike/team becomes part of the blame and another move gets floated. The financial side actually reinforces that. Leave the track guys out of this. They build off the plans they are given. They also make adjustments the week prior to make everything possible when circumstances change. I don’t think there is another crew in the entire world that could do what they do.

The majority of the stadium floors do not allow enough track length to get 1 minute lap times. Anaheim and Glendale are the only two currently on the circuit with lap times over 1 minute without adding gimmicks like walls, s turns, and narrowing the track lanes. It takes a Supercross bike about 7 seconds to go from one end zone to another with all the obstacles we can throw at them, multiply that by 7 lanes. Six the long way, end zone to end zone, and one short way and you get a 49 second lap. More corners slow...

At the very least, Triple Crown tracks should not be sub 50 sec.

I know Suzuki Japan is showing some focus here in the US this year and there is rumors of a return to MXGP. However, Suzuki showed that racing is not there main focus anymore considering they won the MotoGP title and many races in 2022 but still folded the team and support. If Kenny wins it will be a huge deal in the sport. But I don't think it will change much from the brass in Japan
