Wiscomx Added a reply to titanium valves or stainless steel valves for kx250f?
7/3/2024 8:21pm No need for copper beryllium seat with stainless valves, it’s ideal for titanium valves, not so much for stainless, just get seats recut, don’t overlook guides either.
Wiscomx Added a reply to titanium valves or stainless steel valves for kx250f?
7/2/2024 8:49pm Stainless valves are fine, just get correct springs, and seats recut, they obviously are not as light as ti valves, at high rpm ss valves are very heavy and have a lot of mass compared to the ti version, with weight comes some issues, the big thing for valve life whether it is stainless or ti is a good clean...

Wiscomx Added a reply to Dubya edge wheel set reviews
6/17/2024 7:45pm I have a set, there the same as an excel notako rim, they hold up fine, I think the biggest is how true a wheel is and having even spoke tension is more of a factor then anything.

2/20/2024 12:21pm yeah, maybe try again with OEM and also check cylinder and head for flatness and have resurfaced. Note that layered metal gaskets required a pretty fine finish to seal correctly so make sure a reputable shop does the surfacing.

10/29/2023 6:37pm The mineral spirits is really good, and affordable, earlier this year I fell for WR products filter cleaner, it works really good, I do not think you will get the 10 filters worth of cleaning out of it like they advertise, I would say mineral spirits or the wr cleaner, also switched to motul filter oil, so far seems like...

Wiscomx Added a reply to Is this oil leaking through the Power Valve gasket?
9/24/2023 6:27am A lot of times the rod that runs thru to the power valve wears out seal and bore, sometimes a new seal works of drill bigger and install a bronze bushing, if it’s running fine just leave it.
Wiscomx Added a reply to 2022 ktm 150sx cylinder questions
7/4/2023 7:40am Measure cylinder or have a shop do it, I would assume you would be fine with an A size piston with the amount of hours you have on it, there is only .0008” between an a and b piston, a human hair is about .002 to .003” thou to put that into perspective, it’s pretty minimal, as far as honing...
