Its top end time for my 2013 Kawi 250f. Just wondering what is yalls take on running titanium valves or steel? From what I have gathered, theres not much performance difference & that the steel will last longer? Also, how is kibblewhite brand? They have rather decent prices on their titanium valves & spring kit.

Its actually copper beryllium for anyone whom wants the correct term and of metallurgical composition its commonly used in aerospace bc of its unsurpassed wear and heat capabilities also is ability to take drastic fluctuations in temperatures during operation
Furthermore its been banned in alot of places bc is been proven to a direct link to respiratory cancers and incurable and fatal ireverseable lung conditions ik this bc ive worked extensively with this material and processing this material in various formats and procedure.

Stainless valves are fine, just get correct springs, and seats recut, they obviously are not as light as ti valves, at high rpm ss valves are very heavy and have a lot of mass compared to the ti version, with weight comes some issues, the big thing for valve life whether it is stainless or ti is a good clean air filter, there is a few options besides copper beryllium for seats, do some research and you will be good to go.
Im putting in new cb seats with stainless valves and corresponding springs ik theres heat issues in the rmz 250 heads and abnormal wear issues so my logic is use cb seats and guides to mitigate heat and better transfer it to the case where it can be dissipated better and ss valves with correct spring weight for ss valves (going with kibble white valve set ). I feel the problem is with the increased rpm with ti valves and springs is the cause of the abnormal wear and excessive heat in the top end also causing abnormal early wear. So if i use ss valves cb seats and guides for better heat transfer and the added weight of the valves will drop rpm about 500 or so honestly i feel thats a good trade off 500rpm in exchange for top end longevity or 60hrs + idk bout you guys but i hate doing too ends on these dohc four strokes and having to do it so often takes the fun out riding....bring me some 2t power band baby! Any one else concur with this logic?
No need for copper beryllium seat with stainless valves, it’s ideal for titanium valves, not so much for stainless, just get seats recut, don’t overlook guides either.
