For the 2nd moto start today, most have seen Kitchen and a few other riders tangling up and blowing the first turn and headed towards that photographer. Well, that photographer was me haha. I've seen comments online asking if I was fine and to answer, yes, I got out of that situation somehow completely unharmed. I went right back to shooting pictures after that. I wouldn't mind seeing them make the 450 class just straight up open class. Everyone always says no one is using the true potential of a 450. Tomac is the only one asking for more power and yet, he still doesn't ride the bike like a 250, he gives it respect. Just make it open, let the manufacturers push their limits, let the electric in, let big bore 2 strokes in, and let the riders choose what suits them. I feel like the bikes today are limited more by traction than power anyways.

So, I thought it was interesting that we saw Stark racing a pretty well known race series. Are the powers that be, so pro 4 stroke, that we can't even get a 150cc 300cc 2 stroke rule for 250/450 classes? Come on, it's 25 years later, give us a bone or something....

I disagree. I’ve been coming to Lommel for a few years now, and I’ve seen the amazing speed of Lucas and Kay in person, but the total domination I saw from Herlings Sunday was nothing short of incredible. His bike broke during Saturday qualifying twice, but he still managed fast time and a win despite the problems. His Sunday performance in the motos was Jett Lawrence x2- no active rider on this earth would have gotten near him, Lawrence’s or Coenen or Prado or even Tomac in his prime. Yes - but there was plenty of 'racing' shown among the others, to. Me - I can watch and enjoy a race, to see the lines, the way a bike works, the way the riders deal with 'things', explore different lines, have 'moments' that they deal with, successfully or unsuccessfully. I'm Never bored by racing - I think a casual viewer might have that reaction, or, someone wanting to slag a series, or riders, but to anyone Really into racing, there's always something to watch / be impressed with. My guy, have you not seen some of the mxgp races this year? I can assure you, he’s ridden that bike faster & harder in worse conditions. Not saying he wasn’t going his best, but he’s finished full motos being pushed by herlings. Those factory bikes can manage 35mins in the sand.

…I’ll tell you what- IF Sacha really did break his collarbone and STILL WON THE MOTO with no goggles in the sand, it has to rank as one of the grittiest rides in AMA motocross in the last decade. And for those of you of a certain age who remember, could this kid be Magoo 2.0? Sacha sacrifices it all to win, much like Danny Chandler did. It boggles the mind to think about this young man lining up for Supercross….

Say what you want about Jett and the cameras….but I thought is was hilarious after the first moto they catch Jett slamming his helmet and dropping the F-bomb, only to quickly switch to Hunter dropping the F-bomb while getting off the bike and slamming his goggles and gear under the tent. Poor ole Weege had to go straight into apology mode.

It's not the venue he has a problem with, it's the timing schedule with the sun being so low at the hours they are supposed to race qualifying on Saturday and second race on Sunday. He had a talk with David Luongo and Luongo promised to alter the schedule to provide more safety for the riders, which he actually did. So everything is fine now.

That guy should be on a Triumph 450 in the US shaking hands, waving, and being British on a British bike, with an already established US fan base. Missed opportunity for Triumph IMO. I'd put Max a c-hair ahead of Jordon.
