In his prime, when healthy, you have a atrong argument Herlings is the fastest motocross rider ever. Ever. Not smooth deceptive speed like Jett. Brutal, insane, manhandling a 450 like a pit bike, warp SPEED. I dont think you can ever categorize him as overrated, based on that alone. Arent him and Kenny still the two youngest GP winners ever? Crazy how both their careers got devastated by injuries

8/24/2025 5:09pm Great coverage and everything usually works but the camera work is often dreadful Watching the leader or 1st and 2nd pound lap after lap for absolutely ages while clearly so many tight races elsewhere going on according to the timing, or maybe someone charging through the pack gets so frustrating, the battle box could be used much, much more too

Oy. If you don’t mind a 3 hour drive to Columbus, Ohio from Indy, you’ll find Iron Pony, likely the biggest mc/mx store in the Midwest. I would encourage a stop at the (free!!!!) Air Force museum on the way, near Dayton, Ohio.

Another person who hasn't watched the video. His front wheel was rotating when he left the face of the jump, it stopped rotating in the air, his finger was visible on the front brake lever, the front wheel started rotating when he landed. During the crash the right side of the handle bars were driven into the ground, the front wheel was locked after the crash.

I don't know what video you were watching, his front wheel was rotating as he left the jump... it stopped rotating at the same time his rear wheel stopped rotating, you can see his foot on the rear brake lever... His rear wheel started rotating as soon as he released the rear brake... Bike's sideways, his legs are splayed, he is out of control... Lands rear wheel first, with left foot on foot peg, right foot on ground, ass on seat... Front wheel rotates when he lands... Rookie error!

No shit. In a panic he could have touched the front brake in the air. Locked front wheel in the air doesn’t ONLY mean that the wheel was locked off the lip. Grab your front brake on the face and hold it off the lip and let me how that works out for you. There is a reason No one touches the front brake on a jump, ever.
