Awesome. Order a spare CCP sensor now. They are back ordered till July. Check your PV dolly position as well, they arrive set all over the map. PV should open at 5500 rpm, 1.5mm from flush on PV casing is closest to standard. Might wanna get the dealer to check current map as well, 103 is newest. I know a lot of guys that seized top ends on the intake side under 50 hours. The new map oil level is much safer.

TSP kit is great, I have one of their medium heads. The new OEM 103 map delivers the same oil as TSP. 44% more than the previous map and the same as the 18/19 maps. The new bikes run Rich fueling and are pretty safe adding around 15% more air flow without a tune.

The YZ250 transmissions have been a problem for a long time. Weakly supported 4th gear. 3 dog engagement design. Shift forks that are rigidly staked to their pins instead of using a floating design. Gears that can shatter in addition to the usual wear out in the lateral male/female engagement area. The transmissions do physically shift well, but durability is substandard. Mediocre clutch and brakes. Mediocre ergonomics. Mediocre handling with the exception of good high speed stability. It's no RM250 inside line carver, but it is stable. Good in the desert when geared, or a high speed mx sand track...

I've been fully immersed in this mental battle for a while now and continue to struggle with it. I'm certainly ready and curious to move on to a KTM. But pragmatism continues to prevail. When my 07' YZ began to demand some extensive TLC, I sold it and started shopping around. I ended up stumbling across a SUPER clean 09' YZ250 for $3800. Considering I still had a bunch of YZ-specific extras in the garage, it was hard to ignore a deal like that. I was not interested in the type of KTM that $3800 was going to get me...
