Simple. VF consistently races behind himself, every other rider you mentioned consistently races forward. VF makes the racing crappy with his blocking, he causes backups and then when the riders get past him he torpedoes them. Makes for boring races and the worst part is it generally doesn’t even work for him, he just craps all over the track but still doesn’t win. I’ve been around since the Hannah days, the guys you’ve mentioned were able to win by racing forward. He’s a good rider with a faulty brain holding him back.

Those guys, except Barcia on occasion race forward and or have the same or more speed. Vince is a cross jumping road block man. He put a bounty on his own teammate for fks sake.

You know me. I certainly don’t hate Vince. Hell, I don’t even dislike Vince; but, I’d certainly “police his ass on the track” a helluva lot better than the AMA has! The truth is, Vince, on far too many well-documented occasions, has been an absolute ass on the track. More to the point, he’s been at the center of far too many crashes and other un-safe and unnecessary “events” on the track. The reality is…if someone parked his ass HARD…or if someone took him out BAD…and both of those scenarios could very easily have him on the ground SERIOUSLY INJURED…well...

He's lucky to win a 7 minute world sx race with no passing areas cross jumping and taking front wheels off.

Asking a forum how to pick a dirt bike is like asking us to pick you a girlfriend- everyone likes something different. that said, the Honda and the KTM are very different bikes. The Honda isn’t really that popular around here ATM due to twitchy handling and suspension issues. the two tallest 2024 bikes are KTM and Yamaha, and you can’t go wrong with either brand.🤷‍♂️

JT practically painted Vince a moron in this regard. He said something along the lines that Vince doesn't even comprehend that he is doing anything remotely wrong. Sorry dawg, but your not riding deep enough tracks then, I rode 350’s for seven years, I used to think like you, untill my wife told me I was riding way harder than everyone else in the class (open pro sport) and then I was like no way, went to 450s and instantly had better speed every where. 350s are a gimmick. You think your going fast, but if you could ride the 450 just as hard, obviously your gonna be going faster, I still think a 350 is a great bike but my corner speed on a 450 would...

I completely disagree with just about everything you just said. firstly, we aren’t talking about Nationals we are talking average riders that mostly do track days and race occasionally. Secondly, Even at 230 pounds i can pull 450s everywhere except maybe on the start but i’ll still be top 5 and can let the 350 eat further and will make it up through the first turn. thirdly, my corner speed will crush a 450 any day of the week, i can carry speed further into the corner zone one, be smooth through zone 2 and accelerate harder out of zone...

Lap times do NOT directly translate to race results. 350 vs 450 in racing with a like for like rider, not always but more often than not the 450 will win. Because, if you can get a wheel ahead out of a corner or on the straight, you will likely make the pass or retain the position. We see this in vet racing all the time. This may diminish as the 350 power creeps up, but that's been my experience at a club and national vet level. Despite that, I'm considering a 350. I think i'm at a stage where...

Watch every single video on Youtube that compares 350 lap times to 450 lap times with people of all skill levels and every single time the 350 wins hands down by massive margin. The lap time difference is usually between 1-2 seconds per lap and every time the dim wits say they have to ride a 450 because the torque… they just can’t see through the proof!

I get what you mean, but I think for some, it's a totally different feel, powerband and delivery, etc. As a totally over the top and pretty rough example, say you have a 350hp Camaro Vs a 350hp Civic... One has a load of grunt but a lot of inertia and that weighty feeling too. The other is comparatively a lightweight screamer.
