I have several friends that ride bone stock bikes and definitely don’t need to change anything to go faster. They have lots of money, but choose to do the smart thing and invest instead of blowing it on their hobby. I get that too, I guess I just can’t help myself to be honest. My son raced for 15 years and had really good bikes. I’d never had a really good bike or even had my suspension set up properly when I raced growing up. Once he quit racing, I started building bitchen bikes and riding again, not looking back...

I also used to wonder this, thinking that of course the local will be better, the bikes are just so much better, how could they not be. Then MXA (I think?), had an article where one of their writers raced Ryno, the writer would stay on a 450, and Ryno would progressively drop to slower bikes unil the writer won. The writer never won, no matter what size bike he was on, Ryno was still faster.

maybe go see a doctor for a MRI … just a thought.

A lot more serious than Stark & without the BS overhype. Triumph is a proven company, we aren't worried they'll deliver a great bike.
