Got myself a new restoration project... I grew up watching US SX in that era. I turned 13 in 1990... That's a 1990 CR250, the bike JMB rode his first full season here with the number 22. Caught it on OfferUp and had to get it. Got it for $2k (listed @ $2.5k). Kinda high but it came with an extra silencer, 2 old school Renthal bar pads and new sprockets which makes up for it... Since I have some free time these days, that will keep me busy for several weeks.

It doesn't work that way. Payroll is by far the largest expense so if minimum wages rise like they have in the last several years, the cost of products/service also rises. There is no way around this and it absolutely will be at your expense. It impacts everything, not just McDonald's, but literally everything we purchase. Minimum wage is for an entry level job during school or to learn skills that you then utilize to be worth more to employers. We have it all backwards now and politics is driving it as always. in the meantime, many of these jobs...

Nah, i hope they make $100 an hour. I'm just going to need for the employer to find a way to still bring products to market at competitive prices. I want everyone to do well, just not at my expense.

Shit is just crazy expensive these days. Local am/pm was charging $2.50 for a regular sized candy bar the other day. WTF!!! Local fast food store had a starting wage of $21 an hour to make pizza. Then they expect a 20% tip on top of it. Shit is getting out of hand.

I took a flight to Seattle and met up with friends from Portland in 2018 for SX. I paid $50 for us to park and thought that was ridiculous. $73? Goddamn!

Went to a restaraunt by Lumen Field, Jimmy's, and had a spicy chicken sandwich with fries which was rather delicious. Which moves me to my next point. I'm really glad I ate before I went into the stadium because prices for food and drink seemed liked legalized thievery to me. I did buy two of the lemon flavored alcohol beverages which were 24 oz and a bag of popcorn. The total came up to over $45 dollars, which is ridiculous. Well , he's definitely kicked it up another notch. He's mentioned a few times that him and the team have the bike working extremely well. Add in the fact that he seems to be a happy family man. Everything seems to be going great , can make you a happy person. Might overflow into the racing a bit. " Changed "? Possibly , but he'll always be an aggressive rider. He was just born that way. Some dig it , some don't.

Don't shy away from two strokes due to engine braking. It will take ve ry little time to adjust. Like many I actually really like the light, free feeling of two strokes, although I'm on a 350 four stroke right now, so not biased at all... When I actually get to ride, that is. I'm not at all clued up on enduro / road legal bikes, but any Yamaha or Austrian bike, two or four stroke, should do you proud and you likely won't regret whatever you choose.
