You may be able to get some sort of deal on the trees if you find somebody that wants to mill them . A logger VS somebody that is clearing a lot will often not result in the same level of finishing. Loggers will cut and take the useful parts of the trees and may leave brush piles or more of a mess than a company that is coming in to clear land. I've had good luck with being friends with contractors and offering them a place to ride in return for help working on or building the track. I...

Cut down as few trees as possible to keep the noise and dust down and provide shade, make a turn track in the woods and ride it before you commit to anything major.

So we are about to purchase a 3.9 acre new build and a selling point for me is a possible backyard track (lifetime dream) but I’m curious the feasibility. I spoke to the surveyor I have about an acre behind the house and backyard tree line to work with. Is that even enough space? How much am I expecting cost to build, clear trees? What does maintenance look like? Appreciate the input from those that are living out the dream with theirs. Here is the property and where I want to build. 7/22/2026 11:34am I ride a yz125 and a Stark. they are both so damn fun. I think the stark has made me better at riding the 125, and vise versa. I ride the stark at 48hp and beat guys riding 60+hp. you shouldn't knock em until you spend some time on one.

Unfortunately the answer is already an option and people won’t adopt it until it’s too late… E-bike tracks in industrial zone areas in/near the city would bring our sport back.
