For me, there is two sides to the coin. It could make me hyper focused and give me the advantages that come with that but on the other end, it could make me obsess over something that puts me at a disadvantage. If her personality is changing on a prescription dose it's too high, or she needs to take a different stimulant like methylphenidate or try one of the non stimulant ADHD medication. I race 2 hour hare scrambles and don't need my meds for racing because it's for making less enjoyable tasks more rewarding. I don't have issues racing, fixing complex issues, or doing something I'm interested in. My meds help with conversations in crowded rooms, paperwork, and keeping the intrusive thoughts from popping up and making me think about driving off a bridge. Ya I got ADHD but they won’t prescribe me an amphetamine like that. I can tell you I took a vyvanse as well as some pretty strong edibles and an energy drink before my incident a year ago. It did not help me ride better.
