For me, there is two sides to the coin. It could make me hyper focused and give me the advantages that come with that but on the other end, it could make me obsess over something that puts me at a disadvantage. Maybe I'd obsess over my form, or a kicker on a jump, etc. Or maybe I get short of breath or feel arm pump coming on. Being hyper focused on that could make the situation worse.
