So I don't have any comparison to wearing a BELL recently, but I did switch from a TLD to a ATR-2 around 6 or 7 years ago and haven't looked back. And now their ATR-3 is even better, I've honestly never had a more comfortable helmet. I like having the ability to fine tune the padding, especially their "cool" liner and cheek pad options which in SoCal are pretty damn good year round, maybe only a handful of days that they vent too much.

Yamaha Motor has uncovered an electric-powered ‘YE-01 Racing Concept’, being developed in preparation for an upcoming entry in the MXEP category to be held at select rounds of the Motocross World Championship in the future. Just found this thread and wanted to give some feedback to anyone trying to make a decision about the race cups. I have had them in a 2019 350sxf for around 30 hours of riding (all off-road, woods and desert) and have tested with and without them one weekend to the next and they give a very noticeable difference in ride character. I struggle with mid-corner oversteer, front end confidence and traction at turn-in and these totally work to fix that. This shootout is not balanced, because the Jap bikes had a 50% chance of getting through, but all the Euro bikes had a 33% chance ? Who is to say the the 3rd Euro bike is not better than the 2nd Jap Bike ?

10/25/2025 12:26pm I brought it up in the other shootout thread, but the 26 Triumph 450x doesnt even have a price listed on Triumphs website and it was mentioned on I believe Pulp or Keefer that the 26 KTM wont be released until november. So I'm wondering are these just media demo bikes for the shootout?

I'm a bit curious about a couple details, they mentioned they have the 26 TF-450X which hasn't been released yet as far as I know. It doesn't even have a price on Triumph US website, also Keefer mentioned the new KTMs aren't out until November either. Not a super huge...

i have a 24 ktm 450. tried the ride engineering 23.5 offset clamps and noticed absolutely nothing better about them than stock offset. so i took them off right sway. i struggled prettly good with headshake. bit the bullet and spent the money on fcp cups and my handlebars have not wiggled in my hands since. imo the cups are very expensive for what you get but for me the work a million times better than offset clamps. only thing i noticed and i read the same things in reviews is that after you install them you have to find...

Yes, weight distribution matters a lot. We could get into the weeds on this stuff with rotating mass, polar moment, etc., but the core statement of lighter is better is still true regardless of all that. Sure, we can dream up a scenario where a bike has really heavy wheels and a super light engine/chassis and that lightweight bike might be worse than a "normal" heavier bike.
