Thank you for all of the effort you put into the shootout. Was really hoping the Triumph would have done better. If you get the chance to ride one that's been revalved well I would love to hear your opinion on it.

I can understand the gripes with the TF450X Suspension. I picked one up recently and threw some springs in it for my weight. I mimicking my Yammies settings a bit at a baseline despite the different bike. That was a mistake, the bike was almost completely unridable, and has zero confidence. It felt like it was skating everywhere, blowing up...

I've got around 85-90 working hours into this project, enjoy. I think it's the most comprehensive one we've done so far.

“Sorry Jim, I know you just spent $12k on the new factory edition, but we purchased the local KTM, GasGas, Husky, Honda, Yamaha, and Kawasaki dealerships to corner the market here but didn’t add to our service department so you need to wait 4 weeks to ride this bad boy. Please don’t hold that against us when it comes time to buy your next bike, that wouldn’t be fair”

Klim is really the only thing I've used in the desert that lasts. Expensive and you definitely look "off road" and not moto, but worth it for how long it lasts. XC Lite pants are heavy in a good way, the materials remind me of gear from like 2005 that just seems to hold up better.

I'm in the same boat, I ride desert and mesquite bushes and thorny branches destroy gear. I ran tried Klim Dakar gear and it was good. But not great with knee braces, super tight and restrictive for me. Fly Patrol gear has worked better for me, but it seems off road gear is an afterthought for everyone. Also nothing is...

Eli hasn’t looked that free, loose, comfortable, whatever word, in a long time. Good interview with Lewis. Lewis asked about the 2nd race whoops and what changes they made. Eli said no changes, it was just what he was doing on the bike. Sure looked fine in race 3.

There’s a big difference between a dealer and a race shop. Problem is race shop type dealers are getting hard to find.

So you were disappointed a customer didn’t let his bike sit at your shop for 2-3 weeks and instead took it to another dealer that didn’t make the sale on the bike but fixed it for him right away so he could go to the race he wanted to? Yeah pretty sure I would take into consideration the ability of a dealer to service me in a timely manner when deciding on my next purchase.

I think its time for you to go outside or something like that. I feel like I am a huge fan of Haiden. but I also know that there are a lot of people better than him on the 450 right now. Haiden will only be getting better from here unless he gets hurt, he still has some things to refine, example, blowing through 2 clutches in 16 total laps.

Picked up a 2026 TF450X. Currently going over it with a fine tooth comb before I ride it. Bike seems very well built, rear shock is pretty annoying to remove cause the air box is just barely in the way of the upper mount bolt. I've already ordered the KTM oil pump rotor cause Ive heard the Triumph runs a...

Note: There are some FUGLY postures/images in here of knees…mostly post-surgery…that some may not want to see…. Over the last 45 years, I’ve broken A LOT of stuff…A LOT of “me”…too many bones, tendons, ligaments and important soft tissues…and it started to take a toll on me ESPECIALLY on my knees and my mobility. It all came down to this: I got a knee replacement today. And it is all because of Moto. Therefore, I’m thinking… This is “Moto”? For about 5 years, I’ve been getting slowed down by pain and the lack of mobility. My knees, especially my left...

Not sure on the oils pump gears sorry, mine are all stock and been fine. Any levers that fit a ktm should fit the triumph. How much do you weigh? I'm 95kg and run 5.2nm springs, B grade motocross.

Double posting Going to pick up my TF-450X next tuesday. Looking for some parts info. Does anyone know if the 450 needs the oil pump rotor and oil pump gear upgrades from plastic to steel? I know the TF250 runs a plastic oil pump rotor and gears but not if the 450 does. I ordered the KTM steel rotor upgrade...

It's called inflation. Relatively speaking a 450 in 2026 is not that much more expensive than the same bike in 2006. But i get your point, salaries haven't kept up with inflation in most of the western world during these 20 years.
