Basically the Parents who didn't get laid in High School are trying to make up for it by teaching little Johnny to be a cool kid instead of a humble, hard working human. Zero of the cool kids I grew up with ride anymore and they don't get their kids into the sport. There parents taught them to be cool instead of teaching them to love the sport.

I was a working EMT for 26 years. Drove an ambulance while a volunteer firefighter, and on a municipal fire department 22years. Wilderness first aid with local search and rescue 16 years. The wilderness first aid type of training is really appropriate because there can be so many variables that we may deal with, without the luxury of a lot of medical stuff available.
