When I had my team, kids would walk into our area and grab plastic on the ground (like five feet from the mechanics) during tear-down. When you tell them no and to drop it, they go whiney and ask why they couldn't have it. I thought I was going to go to jail during outdoors because I was very tempted to smack the shit out of some of them...

9/12/2023 11:46am Both schedules are brutal in different ways. American schedule has very few weekends off but each race weekend is relatively short. MXGP has more time off but the race weekends are a real slog. The thing for me is that it’s not like guys are being asked to commit to a 3 or 4 race series when they sign up...

Thank you! I think it is more even than people believe as I posted above none of the top US riders have or will have raced all 31 races and all the 250 guys race 23 max...and I believe AP has raced the most in the US and he's going to MXDN...

In reverse guys like Lars van Berkel, Tanel Leok, Harri Kullas, Jakub Terešák, Stephen Rubini, John Adamson, Charlie Putnam, Gert Krestinov, Adrien Malaval, Jörgen-Matthias Talviku, Mathias Jørgensen (a guy who still has a working job in Denmark), Ethan Lane and Joel Rizzi made the trip to the USA to race one or more National rounds. Be it with their regular teams from Europe or as a true privateer. Meanwhile Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Mexico, Chile, Puerto Rico and Latin America are sending teams. Say Chase Sexton wants to race MXdN but he has an issue with an expiring contract and team change. He talks to Honda and they agree to extend support through the MXdN. Roger DeCoster as head of team USA is going to say of course we want you to race the same bike you've been racing all summer. Roger DeCoster as head of KTM is going to say hell no you're our property now you'll be on a KTM. Sounds like a conflict of interest to me.

If you're comparing Slovenia with the USA's depth of talent, you know you're grasping at straws... This year, the 3rd Slovenian rider is 16yrs old, last year he was 15 and unable to race, thus, no team. But carry on with all your excuses, while Team Chile are on the start gate

The des Nations is not a contracted event for the MXGP-teams and riders either. Yet they were there. In 2007, 2010, 2018 & 2022.

That's great! I've seen Team Poland will race with #133, #134, #135. That means at least 45 teams enlisted themselves (although teams like FIM Europe, Morocco, Honduras, Argentina, Ecuador etc. will probably get skipped). The former record was 40 teams, at Teutschenthal, Germany in 2013.
