So

Just piss on the guy that is responsible for getting us back to racing the event 42 years ago and then guiding team USA to domination for so many years?

There are a lot of bothersome things about MXoN, mainly that the promoter makes a ton and the riders apparently have to pay their own way. But I do not understand what the problem is with the man.

And this is from someone that does not think he us a flawless human. I still think he was 100% wrong blaming the Japanese rider for JA21's bonehead move, but the fact is that he has earned that position of team manager as long as he wants it.

Exactly. He's not the problem... just the convenient excuse.

There was a 15 page thread wanting RC to take over last year.

(Hard investment cost + Perceived Risk) < Reward = Everybody goes

(Hard investment cost + Perceived Risk) > Reward = Everybody stays home

That's the only calculation that the powers that be perform.

He's got a conflict of interest with Triumph!

One change that would eliminate most of these problems is moving the new contract dates to October 15.

Since Elon took over Twitter and changed it so people without an account, like me, can no longer view profiles, I can only imagine the aneurism Denny Stephenson has been having the past couple of weeks 😳

I’m a big fan of Roger and appreciate everything he has done.

But I also think it’s time for a change.  But let’s NOT do another person contracted with a bike mfg.  No Mitch, no Lars, etc.  There is enough conflict to avoid doing that now.

How about Broc?  Or Zacho?  I’m sure we could find a suitable replacement.

JAlbrecht for a chance?

Albrecht, Paribijinos and Denney could be an awesome MXdN crew.

Jeremy as team manager, Paul and Christina stay in their current roles.

Bailey would be a respected and neutral party.

What are the 10 conflicts of interest for DeCoster? Are they personal or professional…or just your feelings?…a lot of people are motivated by feelings these days over facts, and then they’ll make hyperbolic statements like, “He has at least 10 different reasons, for conflicts of interests.”  Not that there isn’t any conflicts of interest for Roger, but I can’t think of ONE, can you?

Say Chase Sexton wants to race MXdN but he has an issue with an expiring contract and team change. He talks to Honda and they agree to extend support through the MXdN. Roger DeCoster as head of team USA is going to say of course we want you to race the same bike you've been racing all summer. Roger DeCoster as head of KTM is going to say hell no you're our property now you'll be on a KTM. Sounds like a conflict of interest to me.

DeCoster is competitive, he would like to win, if that means Chase riding a Honda, he would make it happen.

DeCoster is competitive, he would like to win, if that means Chase misses MXdN so KTM brass don't have to see their contracted rider on a Honda he would make it happen.

Either way, sounds like a conflict to me.

Roger been daydreaming about the 2024 KTM race bike livery with the number 23 on it since last summer. Probably looked at it on his phone every time Webb complained about the bike like “only a few more months and you’ll be all warm and cozy sitting on that podium babygirl, just be patient.”

We need to fix this so we don't have this every year...this is insane that we can't field a competitive team.

There should be a donation booth with T-shirt sales a every SX/MX/SMX race with a website doing the same 100% goes to Team USA or maybe 50 cents of each ticket sold goes to Team USA or each manufacturer donates a bike for a raffle, similar to Pulp's privateer challenge or do all of the above.

Teams have to commit their support of at least one rider by a certain date (end of SX). if they don't commit their riders will not be considered.

I love RD and everything he has done for Team USA in the past but it does seem that any current team manager, brand ambassador etc... there is a conflict of interest so it is time for the AMA to pass the reins to one of their own to manage this team....JBone, he was a great team manager, he has zero ties to any manufacturer and would be all in every year...he's the perfect fit.
