Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
There’s 3-4 pre seasons internationals most the gp riders do , 19 two day gps , then championships like the British/ French / Spanish national series German adac , Dutch masters ( obviously not all of them ) wouldn’t know who rides more to be honest probably similar over the course of the year 👍
I’m imagining all the shit Brad Lackey had to do , to go to all the races that he did . Different times now I guess …
Do some research for Romain Febvre, you will find out!You have to read the threads about the european races posted on a regular basis on this site!
I'm really just curious how many races outside of MXGP has Febvre ridden this year did he do the Italian races?

MXGP guys start racing at around march in Italian championships (sometimes there's some snow around), then off to ADAC masters, Belgium championships, early British championships, many go to toughest Netherland tracks, Spain, Swiss and many others. They have many races to attend, Americans aren't so special. So that "muricans got more races" excuses is full of bullshit, they aren't the only ones with many races on the calendar, they just choose to play that card.
Go find out,france,nederlands,belgium.
So every MXGP racer goes to all those races?
I find that hard to believe.
Come with some real stats or what you are saying is also complete bullshit.
Febvre by my calculations has done 6 additional races this season.
3x Dutch Masters, Hawkstone, Lierop and Kieheuvel internationals, I may have missed one, that’s just from memory, but that would take him to 26 races by the end of the year. Not quite as many as the full US schedule, but still a substantial amount of races.
The other thing to consider is the format of the two schedules. Yes the US schedule has 31 races, but all of them, with the exception of SMX that has some practice on Friday, are one day events. So that’s 33 race days a year. MXGP has points paying races, Saturday and Sunday, that’s 38 race days a year before you even get into the extra nationals and international races. A SX typically will be an hour of riding, 30 mins practice, 10 minute heat and a 20 minute main. A GP weekend is typically 2.5-3 hours riding. The riders are there all weekend, Thursday to Monday most weekends, not in Friday, out Sunday like a lot of the US races. Then you have to factor in the massive long haul trips to places like Indonesia and Argentina which is like 30+ hours of travel to get to from Europe, and those Indo trips can be 2 or more weeks away from home.
I’m not trying to say that the schedule is harder in Europe, but there seems to always be a suggestion that the guys have it easy over here and nothing could be further from the truth
You're not telling me something I already know...I was just curious about the actual number....Like I said above everyone talks about the 31 race schedule but not one top rider in the US has raced all 31...Chase, Jett, Webb, Barcia etc...have all had time off this year AP has probably the most....I was just wondering what the actual number of races that the top MXGP race have raced this year.
Well, for example, on August 15th (two days after the Swedish GP) guys like Herlings, Febvre, Paturel, Petrov, Everts, Sacha Coenen (Lucas had a concussion due to his crash during practice at Sweden, he would've raced otherwise aswell), Elzinga, McLellan,.. raced at the Keiheuvel International in Belgium. A one-off race in deep sand that doesn't count for any championship at all. They did the same thing last year when August 15th was a Monday, coming from Finland during Sundaynight.
How many one-off races two days after a National have the AMA-guys raced this year?
Sure there is racing available every weekend, from ADAC to Dutch Masters to the Spanish championship - most all of those are run on weeks when MXGP is not racing. Or during the week.
those races are not compulsory for most MXGP contracted racers - they race them for the start money or to maintain their race fitness.
Ok thanks for the help...not...why does everything have to be so difficult with some of you...it was just a question out of curiosity...
None. When you race the Premier Series' in the World as a Factory Racer you don't have to go do Fair races to supplement your income.
Most of the Top 15 in MXGP will have at least 5 or 6 additional races that they do on top of MXGP every year. Herlings was racing basically every week until he got hurt this year
Yeah you're absolutely right, Herlings has to go to welfare, I forgot about that.
No they would be racing about 150 races a year , normally depends on what team there on I’d say the majority of big teams are Belgium based ( lommel ) so a lot of them will do the Dutch masters / belguim championship , where as a team that’s maybe based in the uk / France would do the British championship or the French championship ( when a gps not on ) , majority do the handful of pre season internationals though and fill in here and then at national championships throughout the year 👍
Thank you! I think it is more even than people believe as I posted above none of the top US riders have or will have raced all 31 races and all the 250 guys race 23 max...and I believe AP has raced the most in the US and he's going to MXDN...
Agreed.
Imagine if Jett does an Australian national race and gets hurt. Then everyone would say why the hell is he racing this, Id bet 99% of the factory riders contracts have a clause that they will only race the SX/MX championship races.
Pit Row
How a simple questions goes to this extent is beyond me....looks like troll on troll crime...
Who’s trolling I was explaining the schedule ?
+ the two day format in GP's.
Oh yeah, that‘s why some AMA pros choose racing the wsx over the nationals.Lol
Fellas...at this point...unless there's a miracle we probably won't field a team.
If you've read through this and the other threads on the subject...you start to comprehend how screwed up the situation is.
A lot of the folks that say, "Send anyone willing to go"...will be screaming for their guts when they don't kick ass. The only way we EVER stood a chance in hell of winning the Chamberlain was if Eli, Sexton and Deegan were the team.
If we do pull together a team...and I may get clicked for saying this...if any turd comes on here and says ANYTHING derogatory about their performance...I'm gonna call 'em out. They shouldn't have to take any crap... especially from this Vital board.
So let it be written...so let it be done. Flame on.
What Factory Racers besides Roczen have done that?
Reading is important.
Both schedules are brutal in different ways. American schedule has very few weekends off but each race weekend is relatively short. MXGP has more time off but the race weekends are a real slog.
The thing for me is that it’s not like guys are being asked to commit to a 3 or 4 race series when they sign up for MXoN. It’s one weekend, maybe it’s a bit of an inconvenience but it’s not a huge burden I don’t think.
That’s when Americans still had pride for their flag
Chisholm.
Seems to me like the people the most wound up about "American pride" aren't even Americans.
Yeah they rode the Keiheuvel race because they all got paid a crap load of start money! Why do you think Tony decided to race a 250?
I get why MXGP guys want to do these side races because they pay well, but it is their option to race in them.
It doesn‘t matter, factory racer or not!How about SX Bercy?A lot of GP riders have local sponsors, that‘s why they race outside of mxgp.
