RG437 Added a reply to How many MXGP titles would Ken have if he would have stayed?
7/30/2024 7:24pm 4 or 5 maybe? I don’t think he beats Herlings in 2018. Maybe he wins 2021 given that Herlings missed 3 motos and had a mechanical DNF, and I don’t know of Roczen allows that kind of advantage to slip. I don’t want to say that he wins most if not all of the ones that Herlings didn’t win because...

7/30/2024 6:04am Watson was nowhere near the level he’s capable on that Kawi and was actively being held back by bad decisions within the team. The same applies to Mitch Evans. Seewer has been pretty anonymous all season, just 3 moto finishes inside the Top 3 compared to the 15 he had last year. I know the return of Gajser and Herlings...

7/30/2024 5:57am Exactly. Prado is an ELITE sand rider, he is phenomenal in the sand in his own right, I would be stunned if either Jett or Tomac beat Prado at a track like Lommel. Herlings was going 5-7 seconds a lap faster than Prado.

7/29/2024 5:41am A couple that immediately come to mind that haven’t been mentioned yet. Indonesia 2018, missed the previous round with a broken collarbone, came back one week later with it plated and chased Cairoli down late in the second moto and won the GP. Lommel 2021, similar story, first race back after his broken shoulder blade, winning the first moto and...

7/29/2024 5:23am Well, Vialle left, Ferrandis left, Roczen left, Musquin left, Tortelli left, I could go on forever, still MXGP is going strong. The real question is why are American teams choosing to sign European talent instead of American talent? Who are the future American stars? Deegan and … You should probably worry about that first

7/28/2024 3:40pm I don’t think there’s too many guys out there that genuinely don’t belong out there. Yes there’s some riders out there that are a long way off the pace on a track like Lommel, but when Herlings dropped the hammer even Gajser was barely within 10 seconds of his lap time, so where do you draw the line?

7/28/2024 3:33pm To think that there were people who had the audacity to call Herlings finished. I never had any doubt that they would end up looking very foolish. He looks almost as good as he ever has. To be there in person today and witness that ride in that first moto is something I’ll never forget. Herlings has no shortage of...

7/21/2024 9:36am Whether he can get there or not I’m not sure but Herlings is all in, coming for this title. He looks like late 2021 beast mode Jeffrey.

5/14/2024 3:37am Anyone of those guys would’ve been easily second in points in 2008. A perfect season is an incredible achievement, to not make a mistake at any point and throw a moto away is very impressive, but the field in ‘08 was one of the worst we’ve seen. I do think it makes a difference who the competition is

5/7/2024 4:13am I think MXGP-TV is a good product, it can be better for sure, it could do with updating, but it’s a good product. We shouldn’t forget that in the US, as well as the SMX video pass, they also have one channel that shows every race across the whole continent. That comes with a fair amount of money and no...

5/5/2024 2:44am Conditions were about the same as yesterday for EMX125 race 2. Not too bad, more rain to come but hopefully it won’t get bad enough to cancel motos or anything

5/5/2024 1:24am I always want to give riders the benefit of the doubt in these situations, but this injury reportedly started in Birmingham, which was Round 9. We heard absolutely nothing about it until this week when he was effectively out of title contention. I’ll never understand why riders do this, this isn’t the UFC, other riders aren’t going to target your...

5/5/2024 1:10am Sry dude but II think that's more true for the AMA 450 class, and I also think there's more young talent in MX2 than in AMA 250 among the pensioners who could do something in the big boys class in the future. The average age of the front runners in the AMA 250s is about 25 years old now. While in Europe, 17-year-old guys rule the series. And don't forget that Vialle is older than Prado

What a cataclysmic disappointment this whole thing has been. It’s clear that there is a market for SX globally, with a bit of humility and common sense they could’ve made this work. It’s really difficult to see how they recover from so many PR disasters to make anything of this now
