Each one has its merit. Add to that it was an undefeated rookie 450 Outdoor title...
To go undefeated at your very first attempt just seems so impossible, stacked field or not.
Chase went toe to toe with Eli in 2022 and was tied at the last moto just barely losing the C-ship, and then came back and never led a lap, never got a wheel in on Jett.
I think that beats out what others have done before (Rookie SX championships).
No rookie has gone undefeated in 250/450.
I voted undefeated in motocross in 450 rookie season. Especially with Chase and how fast he is. 1 small tip over or mistake when Chase was right on his ass would mean losing one moto. He stayed solid for 35+2 and I do feel that was more difficult.
I usually don't give my opinion on a poll right away, but I am with the masses, an undefeated outdoor season with a depleted field like they had last year is pretty ridiculous.
That being said Jett had without a doubt the best rookie season ever. The closest would have to be Dungey doing the double in his 2010 rookie season.

Interesting stat, Jett won the SX season with 351 points. Only 3 championships were won with less points in the past 20 years. RV in 11 & 12 and RC in 2006 in a 16 race season.
I think having won every 250 and 450 championship by the age of 20yrs old is the biggest accomplishment.
But the 450 SX title is the most prestigious.
And lucrative.
I think both are pretty incredible.
I believe Jeremy finished with more than 351 points in 93 with two less races…
22-0 more impressive IMO

Dealing with the pressure/expectation fans and haters intentionally, and unintentionally place on him by already mentioning his name upon the greatest to ever do it. That’s the most impressive thing.
RC's (2) 24-0 and Stewart's 125cc 23-1(DNF) and '08 24-0 are more impressive.

Jett's 23 MX season was one of the top 4 ever....let's not forget that Dungey won both championships in his first season on a 450 while Jett won MX one year and then SX the next...so as far as Rookie seasons Dungey's is better officially....
I think doing both one after another is the most impressive of all.
And winning 450 SX on your first try after that many mistakes tells something about your raw speed.
You’re absolutely correct, 2 24-0 seasons is more impressive than 1 22-0 season. Last time I checked Jett hasn’t had the chance to earn a second 22-0 450 season yet though…

Yeah but RC's 2004 was against Reed, Wyndham, Tortelli and DV...I don't believe you can downplay anyones undefeated season they are all equally as great as the other...
Anyone of those guys would’ve been easily second in points in 2008. A perfect season is an incredible achievement, to not make a mistake at any point and throw a moto away is very impressive, but the field in ‘08 was one of the worst we’ve seen. I do think it makes a difference who the competition is
What do you consider rookie? I consider it your first season racing a class. Jett was a rookie 450 outdoor racer last year and a rookie 450 Supercross racer this year. Dungey had the second best rookie season ever but it's not close to Jett's rookie season.
Dungey 19 moto wins* and 5 SX wins
Jett 22 moto wins and 8 SX wins
*Dungey had one more round of motocross.
Jetts rookie seasons were spread over two seasons, Dungey's was all in the same season without an off season to prepare...both impressive but as I said officially Dungey's was better...key word officially....

What do you mean? Dungey had the time between the end of 2009 outdoors and the start of 2010 SX to prepare.
Throw in SMX wins as well for Jett.

We're watching history and I love it. Quite incredible what he did in his rookie 450 Outdoor season going undefeated and winning his 450 SX rookie year.
Even more incredible to me is that he won all these championships in a row.
I'm sure I'll get a lot of flak for it but if he has another dominant outdoor season, we have to talk about him as an all timer. Potentially kicking Bubba off Mt. Rushmore. It sounds way early but the guy hasn't been beat since what 2021? What a start to a career.
