If you've followed politics at all over the past several years, it would be pretty easy to conclude that neither side of the aisle accurately represents the teachings of Christ or his apostles. There are general ideas that each side campaigns on that would be aligned (Republicans opposing abortion, Democrats focus on aiding the lower class), but when you observe these parties in action, they hardly reflect the values that they campaign on. There's also a large difference between an Italian-American or Hispanic Catholic in Massachusetts/New Mexico, and a Southern Baptist in Georgia.

I bring up the parents because they raised them. And it was a common thread between both recent shootings. Kirk and the ice shooting. Both familes of both shooters were mostly conservitives. I wondered how the way they raised thier kids could have impacted the way decided to react. Seems as relitive as how the shooters voted. You dont think there are any gay or trans people in the republican party? Not trying to argue that the kirk shooter wasnt a democrat. IMHO, Deagan will back out. He just wanted to be on the team officially. No way will he race with a fresh plate, risk a crash and setting back testing and training for 2026. He'll probably bow out next week...and he should. Not that he isn't the best guy on a 250, because clearly he is, but because he is hurt, needs to heal and couldn't ride his best. J Coop will ride.
