Should be fun to watch! He sounds excited too... “I’m so excited to be headed to MXoN. It’s a fire drill situation and decision, but I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity. I was asked to ride a 250, so I spun some laps on Haiden’s bike and remembered how good the YZ250F is. I haven’t raced one since 2016, but I felt right at home with the few laps that I did. I will be all in on 250 prep after Vegas SMX, and I’m excited for the opportunity to represent my country. Let’s do this!”

“Any rider deemed by the AMA to be complicit in circumventing the claiming rule (i.e. placing a claim with the intent of returning the motorcycle to the original owner), will be subject to a 1-year suspension of competition privileges.” Seems like the rule change should be “Any person”. From any of the interviews..there was no “rider” circumventing any rules. But if this was person..than the trainer, Yamaha rep and sponsor would have broke the rule. But since it says rider, no rules were broken by their involvement. That should be what mxsports and ama should be reconsidering! The i.e. part...

My take away so far 1. Tyler Livesay should be commended for bringing this to light. Refreshing to have truthful journalism in our sport. 2. Cooksey was right. Again. 3. The Yamaha Rep that threatened to pull franchise broke laws. 4. The AMA needs to enforce some type of penalty on Brian Degan, Matt Walker and Tim Cotter. 5. The AMA tried to follow the rule book. MXsports aided in preventing that from happening. 6. Instead of admitting wrongful conduct DC try's to spin it. That speaks volumes. 7.
