One from way, way back with the Diesel, and then prob my favorite shot from 4 or 5 years ago in the Supermini days (#500 Kawi). He holeshot 4 of 4 motos that weekend against the big bikes and some weren't too happy about it. Wink Like many of you and your moto kids, he and I are very close after all these years and moto has been a very positive influence on him.

All 3 of mine have been to Loretta's. The youngest is 23 still races, but recently married. The oldest 39 still rides but hasn't raced for a few years. Both are on 2023 KX450's. This is the youngest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is the oldest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our daughter a few years ago. She was probably the most gifted and picked it up quickly.

9 yo - 5 years in some moto but mainly off-road racing. 3rd Gen dirt bike racer which I find cool. On 65s. Final round of the season tomorrow - has 15 pts on the field 🤞🏼 While we love dirt bikes - the confidence he has built up racing is really starting to cascade into other sports like baseball and mountain biking. I love watching him excel across different sports.

As others have said it’s just the best ever, only thing better is my wife rides too. My son is 10 and he’s my main moto partner. Him and my wife are almost the exact same speed so they get into sick battles at our home track! I’ve still got him but damnit I’m on borrow time here…..

I ditched the judder springs and put on the ride engineering link, +1 on the rear sprocket, dunlops and Kawi torque specs on the engine mounts. Other than that she’s all stock. I have fussed with the idle - it flames out on me sometimes riding off road which is a little annoying. (Better without the judder springs) Turns excellent like almost unbelievable how easy it is to turn. Smooth power - plenty of torque off the bottom. It’s been an excellent bike for me - I feel just as comfortable on this as I do any other Japanese bike...

He was the main reason I wore MSR during my racing days. I met him at a Supercross when I was young and got his autograph. Seemed like a great man. May he Ride In Peace. Message from MSM - Malcolm Smith (1941 – 2024), who many consider to be America’s most-renowned and best-loved motorcyclist, has died from complications of Parkinson’s disease, which he battled for more than two decades. He was 83. Smith passed away at home in Riverside, Calif., on November 26, peacefully and surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Joyce, daughters Louise and Ashley...

I got Brad to sign a photo of him in that helmet and pants. I have it hanging above my work bench along with a Joel Robert, Torsten Hallman and Rodger DeCoster signed photos. All my heros growing up.

Only win that comes to mind was at Antietam in Hagerstown Maryland in 1979. While sitting in staging the guy that had won the 1st moto on the CR125 that had the 23 inch front wheel I asked him how he liked the new bike and he got all cocky and said I didn't see you in front of me! Pissed me off and after my typical bad start I caught and passed him and won that moto. Felt good enough that I will always remember that race.

Wilber, Nebraska 1974. Second race on my 250 Elsinore. My Dad snapped this as I took the checkers. I went 1-3 for 2nd OA. Fun times. 68 years old and still racing vintage a couple of times a year .

My first moto win was very similar to the OPs. I was also at a NEMA race in New York, this one in 2004 at Walden Playboys in the 65C class. They had the 50s and 65s race on the mini track separate from everyone else. First moto I remember my buddy at the time, cutting the track in the back to pass me where no parents could see for 3rd. That must’ve got me fired up because I was a different rider in moto 2, it was really the first time I ever felt true pressure to get it...

1976, Track in Northern Ca. Track called Argyil. 100cc novice class, 1976 RM 100. Started 3rd worked into the lead and held it to the finish I was so stoked.. 2nd moto, started around 10th moving through the pack, going into a turn with big braking bumps, end up going over the bars, bike land squarly on my back and head, breaking my nose, and shattering my shouder blade into eight pieces, first ambulance ride. Finally get home, mom is stressed out and pissed and all I can say is, "I won the 1st moto!" still racing at 63 years...

I raced there in the 125 & 250 novice classes in 77. Here is a photo. I have a story from Bee Line. I heard about it and decided to go out there and check it out. I had my 76 RM 250 and a 74 TM 125 with the shocks moved up. I was in the Air Force at the time. I was 21. I had my brother-in-law with me and he was like 15. We pulled up to the track and it was all locked up. There was nobody around and we found a big enough gap in...

LOL, I can't remember the exact favor , but I was a 21 year old guy. And she was a perky young blond ( of age too , not that young) . I was really into her, so any type of getting close with her was motivation . She did deliver though. And years later we are still friends . I really wanted to do well too. That extra motivation was just that a little bonus. Might have been just enough to help me not crash out. That first race at Southwick, I crashed in the first turn, They restarted...

I don't actually recall my first moto win. Though I do recall my first overall win. 1977 on an XR75 I went 2-2 for the win. I do recall some moto wins and overalls on my 81 125 when the gates were full with 40 in the class.

My first moto and overall win was at a track about 15 minutes from where my family lived at a track that only lasted about 2 years, the only racing I did at the time was a few local fair races and a few races at this track, placed first out of 2 riders in the 50cc class, so not much of a first win lol

First win was at summit indoors in super mini when I was 15 and way too big for a kx100. Second moto win was my second race after I switched from a kx125 to a Ktm 125 in late 2003. That bike was a rocket and I got the holeshot and held off one of my buddies to win. The next day I raced another track and tore my acl LOL

My first moto win was at Capeway Rovers in the 250C class (450 class now) NESC. I had just started racing , I did the opener at Southwick and tore my ACL. And DNFed. My Dr. never did an MRI and told me it was a sprain. Later on in life I found out that I had torn it. So I was off the bike a month or so. My first race back, second race of my life on a Dirtbike ( I did some MTB racing) was at Capeway. I was out late the night before hanging out with...
