I understand that friend, my point was corporate image is immeasurable. I owned a business as well, certainly not multi-billion, nor multi-national. Yet I always told my employees it takes a lifetime to build a reputation, yet only a moment to destroy it. Destruction of a corporate image doesn't have to be publicly unanimous, ala Ford Pintos or KTM 790s, there just needs to be an under tone to start a narrative. KHI should have cut this bad image loose despite budgets, and put Harrison on the scooter or some other appreciative rider. Prado's issues will haunt this brand for...

The respect stops when he repeatedly quits during races, shit talks his employer, and shit talks his team. That may be acceptable in Europe, but to Americans none of that is acceptable. I am beginning to believe it is a cultural thing. In America, if you are hired for a job, you damn well do it to the best of your ability, no matter what. I guess in Europe, not so much. Ultimately, he was hired to sell bikes, and he simply does not give a single solitary shit about doing that despite his large salary. The man cannot make...

A close second is the damage he has done to Kawasaki’s brand image and likely their ability to sell KXs.

Kawasaki has a rider racing with a definite bike disadvantage. Garrett Gerloff. Racing WSBK on arguably the most dated and uncompetitive platform against a swarm of MotoGP level Ducatis, he races and competes with honor and dignity. And as a team with his team. He rides his heart out at close to 200mph at times. Kawasaki re-signed him early, Prado could learn a thing or two about being a pro from Garrett.

Exactly, that and his for shit attitude, sense of entitlement, and lack of responsibility. Absolutely no gratitude for his team's efforts or his employer's. All riding aside he makes Europeans look bad by his behavior. Just like a petulant child.

Sooner or later you have to throw away the "resume" and actually produce. He doesnt even care that he is hurting his employer (or the MXGP reputation) at this point. I say... Good riddance! Give that bike to someone with actual heart and determination.

But that's not the case here, he went from 1st to 6th on the first lap of the first moto and then late in the moto when he got tired he lost a whole bunch more, 2nd moto he wasn't any better. This isnt a team or bike problem this is a rider problem pure and simple no matter how many excuses you all make for him.

Evidently what does he care? He still is getting paid no matter what he does to publicly humiliate his coworkers and employer.

Spin it anyway you want, but this has been an unprecedented failure for a multi time MXGP champion. There are probably several different reasons why the performances have been so poor. At the end of the day the majority of the blame rest on Prodo’s shoulders and it does leave a bit of a stain on the MXGP series, so suck it up buttercup!

Tomac? I thought we were talking about Prado. When he actually tries for the full 30 + 2 he has been consistently 50-60 seconds back of the leader. That's just kind of his place, new motor, old motor, whatever. Hopefully he comes into next season in a better headspace and he can cut into that gap.

I hate to interject facts to this emotional conversation, but Prado finished the same distance from the leaders at Ironman as he did at Fox. The new engine package may have put a smile on his face but it did nothing for his results.

I didn’t say the bike was fine because it won the Canadian National, I said it didn’t suck. Two different teams in two different series have given two different riders a bike that won or is winning that series. That would seem to indicate a solid platform to build from right? I’m tired of the “it’s the bike” argument. Sounds like he’s finally got something he’s happy with so let’s see what he’s capable of now.

Maybe the Phil comparison is irrelevant, but the fact that I watched him wilt in the heat like a daisy and slow dramatically in the final laps of the race would certainly indicate that his level of riding fitness is not in the same ballpark as the Lawrence brothers and Chase. This is not surprising considering he has been recovering from injuries sustained in Supercross since he’s been here. I have a hard time believing that a faster bike would have helped him maintain his endurance in the final laps. If he can ever get healthy and have an off...

Yes he finished 4th and showed a bit of progress, but he really was 6th. Finishing overall ahead of Chase and Jett was a fluke, he's not close to their speed right now. Look how easily they passed him after he got a good start in the 2nd moto. If Webb, Plessinger and Anderson weren't out, I think they would put him back to 9th. To me it's more about how far behind the leaders he finished and who he beat. As a Kawi guy I want him to do well. But it's not the bike, imo.

There are positives and negatives to electric and ICE. We all know that. The Varg is a toy and a car/truck is likely a daily driver. Works for some and doesn't for others. Stark continues to improve the bike and the CEO rides the freakin product. I've had relatively "Bad Luck" with my MX Varg. I'm on battery #3 and motor #2 but I still like the bike. As a Vet rider it checks the boxes. The battery outlast me and the performance is above my pay grade. IMO ICE bikes have been "meh" for decades, yes they perform well...
