Nothing wrong with the bike. Kawi mgmt gambled and lost with Chase and Prado. Now the team is in a low point.

He's looked good on the Kawi at times. The race he won for example, he looked real fast. Looked good last week as well, and Saturday he was the 2nd fastest qualifier behind KR. It's not the bike, it's Chase looking for a perfect set up and thinking too much. Being a fellow midwest guy from Indiana, I've always liked Chase. But he can be his own worst enemy.

How does one look when they trust the bike? When every bike is wrong and the outdated Suzuki is top box or the trusted Honda gets squirrely in the whoops (on many occasions last night) and spits Hunter to the ground. I am sure they all trust the bike. Chase just rode his race to a clean second; bike seems to work.

It’s what I’ve been saying all along…they are lost and have been for quite some time and that falls directly on Dan Fahie and Bruce Stjernstrom...just go back to when they allowed Chase to run the PC setup but had him change to their parts the next week that were supposedly the same as PC’s…they obviously weren’t…their philosophy is very similar to McCarty at Yamaha…Make the bike look as production as possible even if it’s detrimental to the team…and we all now know what happened when Yamaha replaced Keith with Star…

Couldn’t agree with this take more. He seems like a really cool dude. And he absolutely rips on the bike. But it’s the same shit over and over again and it’s getting kind of old.

Eli could ride one of his dads old MTB frames with a lawnmower engine strapped to it and be competitive at this point. It’s incredible that he’s been effectively the same rider on Honda’s, Kawis, Yams and now KTMs. Dude knows exactly what he needs to rip and is able to direct a team to get him that. It’s not broc, it’s not the bike itself, it’s not chase, it’s not Prado. It’s the team. It’s exactly the same as team Yamaha before star turned it around. Listen to the interviews around when star took over the 450 program. Everyone hated that bike before star got it. Then all of a sudden star is able to find 15 lbs to shave off the bike, dump all the dumb ass overbuilt way too rigid fork lugs, triple clamps, axles whatever else they went the wrong way with and within weeks or months went from the bike riders careers went...

Typically a huge fan of Lewis's work, I really believe he is becoming one of the premier interviewers in our little sport. But I really think he dropped the ball here. Why didn't he ask either Bruce or Broc how did they manage to come into the season so seemingly unprepared? No off-season races to totally focus on preparation and they still are testing, changing parts, working 80 hours a week to get the bikes right during the season? Tomac is on a bike that is new to him, Webb is on a new bike to him, Suzuki has Anderson...

Look Sexton isn’t doing great so far, his starts are off which isn’t helping either. But has anyone thought about the number of BIG crashes he’s had for years now and the toll they have to have taken? He’s had highlight reel slams year after year since what 2020? Eventually Stew stopped being Stew after so many of those hits. They add up. I’m not saying he’ll never be “back” but they certainly have dulled the blade. "It's tough being a Chase fan." I think Chase has broke me of being a fan of any one rider anymore lol. I'm 48yrs old and I find myself just rooting for great racing and appreciating certain riders style anyways. I've never had a rider frustrate me like Sexton. It can be the last lap of the main event and Chase has a 10sec lead and my ass is still pucked up until he crosses the finish line. I absolutely love stew and love his insight, but at times he seems like he is talking for the sake of talking. Or maybe I just don’t get it.. I do think James sees things we can’t, Chase is just a very unique rider and definitely more picky than most when it comes to setup.

If I was on Sexton’s race team I would say put the bike back to where it was when he won and ride the bike and get used to how it reacts and works. After a few races make some small changes and go from there. I don’t think you can get used to a bike that you keep changing.
