MxKyle (MD) Added a reply to You trailer haulers out there....
12/3/2018 10:40am This airfoil is so simple and copy-able that I have removed it and am afraid to use it until the patent goes through. But I will answer a couple of your questions. It is held in place with four small bolts on the vehicle and takes less than five minutes for one person to install or remove. I did not...
MxKyle (MD) Added a reply to You trailer haulers out there....
12/3/2018 10:16am Finally a thread where I can get the input of my fellow enclosed MX trailer haulers. I have had a 6x12 v-nose for a few years and I can remember taking that first trip and finding out I could barely get 10 mpg on the highway at 70. I bought a topper thinking it would help but if it did...
MxKyle (MD) Added a reply to 18' YZ450 vs 19' Debate
11/13/2018 1:11pm The 2019 cartridges are 2S2-2316A-20-00 VALVE COMP the collar is BR9-25183-00-00 COLLAR, WHEEL FYI - The cartridge is not a direct drop in. They added an additional o-ring groove to the 2019 cap and it keeps the cartridge from going in deep enough in the 2018 assembly. You have to move the valve/shim assembly and the piston from the 2019...
MxKyle (MD) Added a reply to 18' YZ450 vs 19' Debate
11/13/2018 4:24am I completely agree with that but while the local guy eventually gets there he seems more of a tinkerer and has to have the forks apart a few times to arrive at a better valving. That's after driving an hour each way to get to the track hes at over several weeks. I ran out of patience last time and...
MxKyle (MD) Added a reply to 18' YZ450 vs 19' Debate
11/12/2018 12:53pm I have had a 2018 since last October. It’s a great bike but I never could dial out that slight push dropping into turns in soft or sandy conditions. It just wanted to wander if it didn’t have a good berm and kind of hunted around when exiting under power. Never felt that on hard pack but it was always...

11/6/2017 4:22am You don't need to drill any holes. Just route it to the side and out along the inside of the radiator shroud. There is a perfect size gap for hose that doesn't pinch. Then route the hose forward along the radiator hose and down behind the radiator. I did the exact same thing on the 2014 four years ago and...

MxKyle (MD) Added a reply to is anyone a better rider on a 450?
8/16/2017 7:55am Speak for yourself because I NEED AND WANT 60+hp! I raced and won on 500's in the local open pro class during their heyday and I was better on a 500 than a 250. I recently rode a KTM450 fitted with a KX500 engine and had a ball with it (It just vibrated too much) --KT--

MxKyle (MD) Added a reply to Most important question of '17: Why doesn't every bike have an electric start?
5/9/2017 6:43am You sound like the same group that pressured the manufactures into aluminum frames. Those same frames that took years to sort out the flex and get the handling back to the pre-aluminum feel. Those same frames that are keeping the Jap bikes from matching KTM's low weight. No one seemed to care if the aluminum frame actually helped performance. It...

5/4/2017 5:09am My dad (1934JIM from Motodrive) has ridden motocross most of his life but on his 83rd birthday he decided to get rid of his RM450. He traded it for a new KTM350 because he wanted e-start! He rides at least once a week and is a local celebrity at the tracks he frequents. I raced pro in the late 80's...

4/27/2017 9:58am 18 years ago I crashed my brains out jumping the Water Tower Jump at Hardrock in Ocala. The mangled handlebars are still hanging in my garage. At the time it was a triple at the top of a hill that they said it was at least 90 feet. The jump was famous in the area for size and intimidation because...

11/8/2016 10:42am My wife surprised me with our cake. The decorator didn't know anything about dirt bikes but I think she did a pretty good job. Since half the guests were motocrossers it was obviously a big hit.

10/19/2016 7:09am First, I am a retired professional motocrosser and if you are in the least bit interested you’ll find out that the older I get the faster I was! The rest of the time I am the project engineer in charge of designing and building full scale trainers to teach technicians/mechanics how to work on our new F35 fighter jets. Each...
