A lot of truth in your post but the available evidence makes it look like RC was simply bitter at the fan reaction and used his clout to squash DB. That track walk interruption segment is a very bad look for RC, he was punching down which is never popular with anyone other than douchebags that would do the same thing with power. Lost a lot of respect for RC after this. Mainly him because he is the moto guy on there that has some leverage. Agree 100%, and have literally been the person in your example as an engineer. As you said, that's workplace politics and the normal stuff you have to deal with in the professional space. Ended up brute forcing my way to being the "next guy" early in my career. RC has always been a jerk with low self esteem, needing to tear others down. I remember how cringey it was when he first started with Jeff Emig. Jeff would joke about some little thing and RC would take it seriously and talk down on Jeff’s career. He’s done it with so many others too. RC is perfectly fine around people who don’t pose a threat to his esteem. Really sad that someone that successful as him is still so insecure.

Now that Daniel has decided to share his position on it and state it publicly, yes, I'll ask questions and see what/if anyone will talk or share anything. As with the Lawrence/Deegan thing from AUSX, I dug around for a few days to see if there's anything to be reported on.
