I do appreciate your support, but there really is no reason for Lewis to be drug into this. He is a fantastic journalist and has helped me out a tremendous amount. Again, everything will work out and I have no animosity. But thank you for enjoying what I've done.

And Dunge was coming off his retirement couch going up against absolute units in Chase and Eli. Remember Roger shitting on Caleb Russel too after all the titles he won for KTM. He just wanted a crack at the Nationals before he retired

This thread is a prime example of too many people having an opinion and getting involved on a situation that does not involve them.

Understood. No explanation needed, ML. Business is business, and people are the casualties of it at times. I'm an Engineer at Corvette (the car) and we just laid off quite a few due to direction changes. Always sucks when people have to go. Good on you guys for supporting him for a while longer. Just wanted to voice my opinion...

Christ, this thread needs to be locked This is not the same as a factory rider losing their job, it’s a dude who lost his job within the industry Don’t need people’s personal lives posted on the board, it’s between vital and dark only

I feel for Mr. Side. As someone who has held many "dream jobs" to most people, and has also had one removed seemingly out of nowhere due to budget cuts, it's a true bummer! Even knowing you were 100% dedicated, proficient/performing at or above the expected level and all that still can make you question if there was anything you...

I think AP probably uses the "IDK man, I just ride the bike" thing to his advantage in cases like these. He can play the dumb blonde/ignorant card and not answer the question just b/c he knows that's how some people view his personality. Also, I'm sure some of it is ignorance, but I've gotta assume he's more in-the-know than...
I wonder if the 34 turning in the mudder was due to height and width? I've got MX34's, a factory spec MX34 front, AT82 in both 80/100/21 and 90/100/21 (did one XC race on the 90/100, it's a solid tire).... The 80/100/21 AT82 seems taller than an MX34. The race spec MX34 seemed taller than the regular one though, sitting...

We just started a multi-track comparison of the standard MX34 va ths Factory spec. We did a few times three lap average sessions at Cahuilla yesterday and one of our test riders Steven Tokarski was averaging 1.5-2 seconds a lap faster on the spec tire over standard… Going to attempt again at Perris and GH, plus mix the tires around to see where most of the time benefits are coming from. Lastly, going to put 8-10 hours on each set to check wear and re-test times at the end.

I've got around 5.5hr on the factory spec front. 1.5hr on a very hard-packed MX track (almost a baby arenacross style track), 2hr from an XC race yesterday in TN where it was literally raining before and right during the start, and 2hr practice/turn track testing. It's hard for me to qualify myself as good enough to comment, although I...
Agree 100%, and have literally been the person in your example as an engineer. As you said, that's workplace politics and the normal stuff you have to deal with in the professional space. Ended up brute forcing my way to being the "next guy" early in my career. The sitting director of engineering got moved up to COO, so I...

Totally agree. Big DB fan but this isn’t even extreme office politics, it’s actually normal. The young hotshot engineer doesn’t get their shot at leading the technical roadmap until the incumbent moves on, in spite of HR and customers telling him or her they are the greatest gift ever. Sometimes it’s easy to see who has had jobs outside of the industry where they worked for a big company and who hasn’t.

Saturday was one of the happiest days of my adult life, while simultaneously being one of the most disappointing. For 20 years i have been racing and riding dirt bikes and dealing with numb hands, before the half way point of an off road race both of my hands were completely numb and I was left trying to survive. It was always the first 2 fingers on both hands, the ones i covered the brake and clutch with. They would get to the point where I literally could not even feel the levers, I was forced to slow down and...

When JMB was with Honda he couldn't believe the amount of waste they made, throwing away perfectly good parts, tires, plastics and air filters after one ride. They were washing them with gasoline and causing the foam to break down.

I'm not arguing with the main message you're getting at (or the others quoted for that matter), BUT, for me... Confidently delivering an honest opinion/take trumps linguistic proficiency, as long as we can understand what is meant. I can get over non-traditional, or even the downright mis-pronunciation of words (FUStrated comes to mind, from JS7) when I feel like the...

I think you have it backwards, DB is the nerd and RC/tv crew are the cool kids running the show. Hopefully someday we get a revenge of the nerds situation and we get the competent broadcast team in the booth and also directing the camera action. Until then we just have to be happy it’s on TV and if you get the Black Friday deal you are only paying $1.99 a month for it

ill probably get downvoted for this, but i dont understand why people get so tore up about the broadcast. could it be better? yes. will they change anything to make it better? no. people have complained for how many years, and i cant think of one thing thats been changed for the better. it is what it is. i dont give a shit who is in the booth. they could put leigh, todd, rc, cameron steele, weege, will, jamie little, and erin bates all in the booth at the same time and i would still happily watch every single race...
