It’s really disappointing how much a jackass Steve has turned into. I use to love his shows.
I respect Daniel for coming clean. It’s a shame someone as talented as he is will not be in the booth moving forward. And for the record I’m not a fan of Ricky in the booth.
Unfortunately, the door was open for Daniel. I think he got a little ahead of himself and walked away. Nothing is given in this life. Unfortunately when you compare Leigh’s credentials with Daniel’s it’s a no contest. Even if Daniel would be better for the sport of Supercross.
Now Daniel is on the outside looking in. Pretty cruel to get his hopes up for RDL at Daytona. But they probably just f-in with him. So that he would realize that he will never be in the same position as what he walked away from.
Again he’s very talented. Maybe he should’ve just hung in there. But he followed his heart. I respect him 100% for that.
Now that Daniel has decided to share his position on it and state it publicly, yes, I'll ask questions and see what/if anyone will talk or share anything.
As with the Lawrence/Deegan thing from AUSX, I dug around for a few days to see if there's anything to be reported on. I'm not going to run to youtube with accusations and just repeat what Daniel stated (that's his truth that he's put out there and it should be heard from his mouth in this case).
RC has always been a jerk with low self esteem, needing to tear others down. I remember how cringey it was when he first started with Jeff Emig. Jeff would joke about some little thing and RC would take it seriously and talk down on Jeff’s career. He’s done it with so many others too. RC is perfectly fine around people who don’t pose a threat to his esteem. Really sad that someone that successful as him is still so insecure.
