I miss the days of Motocross Madness 2

I'm sure this is going to get downvoted to hell, but fuck it. Motocross is filled with very incompetent people. The agents, media members, former racers now running industry companies, lower rung race teams...it's extremely bush league. The industry is very lucky that their fan group is so dedicated to the sport because the fans suffer through a lot. The broadcast and RDL has improved greatly, but we suffered for a long time there. Press conferences are unbearable. The podcasts are hard to listen to at times. The YouTube channels are out of control. The normal practice from teams and...

The concept of human life being less valuable than property is a disgusting concept to me. Murdering people over theft is an insanely capitalistic mindset, especially when most of us here are working class. That being said I’ve had 3 bikes stolen that were not recovered and it really sucked. The people who stole them probably weren’t remorseful in the slightest and I wish there were a way to change that. To add some perspective, Mirtl is being accused of stealing 6x this amount….from his close “friends”. Haven’t seen anyone imply that he should be killed for it.

Has anyone considered pitboards as a solution?

50+ on a 112 sounds like a place for me. Never thought about it. Did the 110 thing and had a blast but quit big bikes when they went 4 stroke so its been a bit. Honey we might be getting the band back together where are my tie-downs!

Lake Norman and that whole area of NC is a congested, overpopulated hellhole. The lake is just a man made deal with 400 million homes situated in a way that uses every square inch of water front. I cant really think of a lot of places I dislike more that Mooresville NC and all the congestion, which gets worse by the day.

Similar to the evolution of sport bikes and, as Joey pointed out, many parallels to mountain bikes. Also consider the evolution of muscle cars and Jeeps/utility vehicles. Jeeps were designed to be cheap utility vehicles to bash off road. Now they are high end, overpriced monstrosities that are too expensive to risk damaging off road. Muscle cars started as cheap, quick, fun cars aimed at the 16-24 crowd. Now they are so overblown and overpriced that you only see gray hair in them. We can all recall the days in the 80's and early 90's when a GSXR-750 was $3500...

I worked for Malcolm shortly after high school when he had his distribution business in Riverside. Back then he had an apartment upstairs in the warehouse, and occasionally Bud Feldkamp (who Malcolm would co-drive off-road races with in a buggy) would come by the warehouse and do some derbying on the dirt roads that bordered the back of the warehouse. While pulling orders in the warehouse we'd use shopping carts with handlebars attached, along with skateboards. Yep the same cities with the highest crime & murders, drop out rates & illiteracy, unwed mothers and ever-growing welfare rolls all ran 100% by democrats. There are no blue states. Just some blue cities overflowing with morons who vote for a living. I started this discussion to get perspective and now I will add to it from my story. Last Sunday my son crashed in a race and don’t know how it happened, just the result to the crash - concussion, was unconscious for 2-3min, broken arm, bruises and cuts, etc. As a dad standing there, freaking out but trying to remain calm, while your 12yo isn’t moving, it just makes you ask ….why did I get him into this and should I / we keep doing it. I’ve been at it since 6yo and am 49 now with several injuries myself...
