My bike actually has a Clarke tank. My stock one wasn't bad and I worked on it for hours on end but it was just off color enough for me to buy a Clarke.

4/19/2020 7:12am Thanks for your reply. I was concerned about the Clarke tanks being 3.1G also, but but yours looks great. Looks like you just cost me $250... lol. Very Nice job on the build by the way. I love to see builds where attention to detail is a priority. I built an 87’ and documented here on Vitalmx. Hopefully I’ll finish...

About 6 months in the restore and quite a few dollars. I think she turned out well though. I’m glad to see all the restores on this site. A lot of good bikes out there coming back to life. See you at the track !

5/27/2019 6:16pm My bike is all pretty much all original except for an 89 water pump case. Here’s a pic of the triple clamp and bar mounts. I’m not familiar with the mod for newer bikes.

Nice work, very clean and you should enjoy it as she looks great! Are you planning to run some EVO races or just cruise around? For the fork boots and seat cover did you use OEM or aftermarket?

5/27/2019 6:09pm Thanks... I used aftermarket. I couldn’t justify $85 vs 30. Unless your wanting to go strictly OEM, there’s good aftermarket fork boots out there. I used a lot of OEM, but I’m better places I think
