Last year of the radial head w/barrel fins. I once owned the 77,79,81. Missed that year. Stoked that it's being raced. Very nice!

Here is my '86 CR250 racer...it's a blast to ride, and still rips pretty good for an old dude!

The 89 Rm250. Got it last year for $700, and teardown for top end, blast, paint, plastic, and graphics starts soon. Pics of the process to follow.

I had one of these bikes back in the day. Best handling bike I have ever ridden.

Sweet bike! Is that a DocWob sprocket or HRC works?

I hope this thread inspires some of you find an old 80's bike to restore. I'm in the process of restoring an '89 CR125 and I got sucked in deep....my initial plan was just to spend a couple grand on new wheels, tires, plastics, graphics, pipe, etc.....hahahaha....yeah sure....the dollars are disappearing faster than panties on prom night. If you've restored a bike you know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, does anyone know how the nerf football storage compartments on these bikes got approved by the design department and actually made it to production?

Nice! The '86 YZ125 was my first "real" dirt bike. I recently acquired a low hour example to bring back to showroom glory, just haven't had the time to finish it.

What pipe is on it?

We have a few more that are in different stages of restoring for some good times racing EVO series events.

Come out to Milestone MX for the ARX event on Sunday (05/26) if you want to see or race with other EVO bikes!
